When policies fail to reach their stated goal, just move the goal posts. That is the obvious lesson of the new report from the White House's Council of Economic Advisors (CEA) claiming that last year's stimulus bill created or saved somewhere between 1.5 and 2 million jobs.

I've been critical of the stimulus bill, but if the bill did save or create 1.5-2 million jobs, the 3.5 million job losses could be in other places. This downturn has affected me personally, and I'll say this, It's really tough to find a job right now.

3.5 million jobs gone because his great 'ideas' on blowing more and more money. There aren't any jobs here, even fast food isn't hiring as many as they used, even eliminating current jobs. If more jobs were lost, then jobs gained, the it's a loss, nothing good can be said about it.

Fast foods here are running on less people and sometimes two managers a shift indicating underlings are gone.

Our buffet (usually near capacity) was near empty and one of the managers was bussing dishes.

My son-in-laws business (construction hauling) died so he went to work for a long established company and lasted a couple months before he was laid off - their business is now near death.

Maybe Odrama's plan to rebuild Haiti is his new jobs creation program.
