Why does this seem so outrageous? It makes sense to me. If Obama has no consideration for his own fellow Americans, why should he treat Hatians differently? It's irony and food for thought. Just goes to show you more proof that Obama "cares about" the international community more than the nation that elected him president.

Don't stone Rush because he brought it to light. He's just the messenger . . .

Do you really not see that insurance companies are our current death panels in when the decide not to insure a treatment, illness, or prior illness?

Nope, but that's a different debate. This one is about how Obama wants to treat Americans compared to how he would treat Haitians. It seems Obama cares more for the people of other countries than US citizens. Rush makes a valid point there.

Ok, I'll play yer off-topic game. If the insurance companies are truly the evil money grubbing death panels you say they are, why is your side so eager to jail those of us who choose not to patronize them ?

Rush is a bloviating, arrogant, pagan who should never be considered a reasonable voice in a civilized society.

At this point our country has been so divided by people like him I don't think we ca. Ever find our way back to normalcy.

Instead of responding with typical, childish, liberal rantings, why not attempt to respond to the topic at hand?

Since you probably haven't even read the article, let me summarize. Limbaugh (who I do think is an arrogant blowhard), poses the question on whether the Haitians will have to deal with same scrutiny to receive health care that we Americans will have to go through. It seems a reasonable question. If we Americans will have to go through some level of scrutiny to receive health care, why shouldn't foreigners that receive health care from American dollars have to do the same?

Of course, you can just go ahead and concede that Americans should not have to go through the scrutiny that liberals are trying to put in this health care plan, and then I'd agree that neither should the Haitians.

Is it the government's responsibility or an insurance company's responsibility to keep people alive as long as it is technically possible?

The insurance company. The government has no business in health care.

It is an insurance company's responsibility to pay for keeping a person alive as long as it is technically possible? Every person in the US?

Should people in prison be put on the donated organ recipient list?

(There is no point in using easy examples)

That depends on the person's contract with the insurance company.

    Yes.

    But they do.

They will not cover people with a pre-existing condition.
They drop people often who become too expensive or for other reasons.

Insurance companies are the death panels.

Hi kettle, this is pot, you're black...

Actually I did, but thanks for insight. This article is exactly why Mr. Limbaugh should have no quarter in forming the thoughts and minds of Christians. He is using a tragedy to force his political message to another level. He is using a tragedy to attempt to foist an agenda when he should be giving his air time over to better things. Shame on him.

You know there are more positions than just conservative and liberal...

Absolutely they do. One of our members, who has been going through a very tough time with cancer, has received rationed care. The insurance company is not affording this family the same level of care because the disease is well into being terminal. The doctors have been pressured to give more drugs to sedate and make comfortable than actual treatment at this point.

In a round about way everytime someone is denied coverage because of a "pre-existing condition" that is an example of rationing care.

Once again, you fail to address the topic at hand. Just for a moment try and believe that the topic was introduced to us by someone other than Limbaugh. The basic question is "If we Americans will have to go through some level of scrutiny to receive health care, why shouldn't foreigners that receive health care from American dollars have to do the same?"

Actually, he is pointing out the double standard that the race-baiting liberals use. Good for him. And I'm sure you would love to think that Limbaugh forms the thoughts of people, but the truth is, we can actually think for ourselves. And I can think of no better use of air time than to beat the zero's Marxist agenda, and rally the American people against this movement.

If anyone is using this tragedy, it's MessNBC's non-stop coverage. It is nothing more than an attempt to lend credibility to it's failed broadcast aganda.
