Obama To Serve JUST One Term... That's Right!

... and, you heard it here FIRST...

I am basing this premise on one, of two possibilities. One is that he will succumb to the personal pressures of being POTUS. I'm sure that most would agree that Obama has a tremendous ego, and it is his huge ego that will cause him to decline his party's nomination to run in 2012. I see Obama suffering from a "deep personal and bitter disappointment" with the political climate in DC; this nation; and around the world [where effigies of him are being burnt in the streets, daily].

I believe Obama thought, from the way he swept through the primaries and the general election, that everything he touched would become law and "turn to gold"; and, everybody he came in contact with would love him, and follow him to the gates of hell if he asked them to! Instead, he has been bloodied, battered and bruised during the first 12 months of his presidency, and it is his downfall from the top of the "hill of popularity" that will heavily influence his choice to exit the office in order to save face!

CHECK THIS OUT: "I'd rather be a really good one-term president than a mediocre two-term president," he told ABC's "World News" anchor Diane Sawyer in an exclusive interview today. http://www.thefoxnation.com/politics/2010/01/26/obama-id-rather-be-really-good-one-term-president

However, if he does decide to run in 2012, Obama will lose the election, [unless something, short of the miraculous happens]. The main reason he can't win in 2012 has more to do with the following facts, than with his contagious smile and tremendous oratory skills. The facts are clear: To begin with, Obama is seriously hemorrhaging support from the core of Independents who put him in the White House. Add this to the constant hammering from the likes of Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh, to name a few, it is clear to me that the Conservative Right, and the Centrists in this nation, will continue to bring him down in the halls of public opinion.

In short, it was his anal-retentive obsession with his much ballyhooed health-care bill that has turned into his personal "Waterloo!" I believe his failure to get the health-care bill passed will be too big a disappointment and personal failure for Obama's ego, and his administration, to crawl out from under, in the eyes of the general populace.

No matter which scenario dominates the final three years of his presidency, the result will be that Obama will never-the-less be our nation's first black president, and the first black president to serve just one term.:godisgood:

    Shalom,

    Pastor Paul :type:

You might just be on to something there. If the Republicans can put forward a solid candidate then you very well might be right. However if the Republicans come out with Palin or someone like her, Obama will win a second term. The Republicans need someone who can stand toe-to-toe with Obama on the issues and someone who can energize large segments of the population. Right now I don't believe the Republicans have that someone. Of course, much can change over the next two years.

Either way, I will not vote for a Democrat or Republican for President in 2012. I have walked away from both political parties. I have washed my hands of them.

I would not vote for here but Palin can stand toe to toe with Obama or anyone else. The liberal bashing of Palin has reached pathetic heights.

obama said when he ran that he would be a 1 term president, and not run for a second, so if he does run he'll prove himself a liar.

I predicted before the election that whoever won would serve only one term, and that person would be followed by a two term POTUS. I still think that is likely. With Obama's popularity waning, his chances of winning a second term are much more likely. However, it all depends on whom the Repoblicans put up. If they put up another John McCain, it's possible Obama might win a second term. Of, OTOH, the Repoblicans put up a classic Reaganesque candidate, then Omaba as a one-term POTUS is practically guaranteed.

The way the American people vote based on looks, rhetoric and public speaking skills...they should just start grooming a pitchman who looks and speaks well and give him a few trendy catch phrases.

Everyone who changes his mind is a liar? You have never changed your mind?

I am no fan of Obama, but I don't believe he stated as fact that he would only serve one term. I do recall him saying he could envision himself ending up being a one term president in the context that he would rather serve one term and succeed (in his mind) rather than not get his agenda done and serve two terms.

Mr. Obama has given us the opportunity to see what a Jimmy Carter second term would have been like.
