    I'll make this plain and simple...

    • He was NEVER in, the military! Riding in "Marine One" does not make him a Marine anymore than going into McDonald's makes him a Big Mac... "Semper Fi!"
    • Obama has no idea of what it means to serve America as a warrior;
    • He has no idea of what it means to have honor, and be loyal to the one who has your back in a fire-fight;
    • He does not understand how the enemy thinks, because he has never been under fire with the possibility of injury, or, death staring him in the eye;
    • He has never been a POW, and he doesn't understand what it means to be interrogated, or tortured for the honor of your Country;
    • He does not know how badly the enemy wants him (as an American) dead, because he never faced a terrorist walking the Ivory Halls of Harvard, or the streets of Chicago (as a lawyer and community organizer);
    • He does not understand how the patriots and common citizen's of this this nation chose to fight and die to be free from the tyranny of England; to salute the flag on the sandy beaches of Normandy and Iwo Jima; and to watch the pride in Iraqi's when they cast their first vote for freedom;
    • Obama never saw, in person, the crematorium's of Hitlers Third Reich;
    • And, Obama did not know the fearful thoughts of those who survived, and those who died, in the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and on the farm land of Pennsylvannia...

    In short. Obama doesn't get it, because he was never there... and all of his book knowledge will never get him the experience of having been there. He may be book wise, but, he severely lacks the personal experience it takes to be a good Commander-in-Chief. And, it is this lack of personal experience and first-hand knowledge that keeps him from knowing the true "Price-of-Freedom."

    Shalom,

    Pastor Paul :type:

    Whoa...whoa. Lack of military service disqualifies one for service as President? That is not a constitutional requirement. Also, I guess that disqualifies the darling of the right, Alaska's former governor who can't seem to finish anything.

    Did you even read the OP?

    The question is one of understanding terrorism.

    That Obama lacks the experience to be Commander-in-Chief is about more than no military experience.

    The OP doesn't say that it is a constitutional requirement.

    Why bring it up?

    Well, it sure didn't take you long to fall back to the standard democrat line of defense.

    At least you changed it up by picking someone else rather than deflecting to George Bush.:laugh:

    Is the playbook really that thin?

    The OP cited lack of military service in that context. Can YOU not read?
    I bring up constitutional requirements because it seems RD wants to add to them. I also did not say lack of experience disqualifies Ms. Palin...merely that by RD's standard, she should not serve. No playbook required...just trying to follow the twisted, tortured logic from the Neocon mind.

    In the context of not being qualified to be President?

    I don't see it even once in that context.

    Can you point to the actual words?

    Can you point to his words which state that intent because I'm not seeing them.

    Palin is not not the subject or topic of this discussion.

    Why not elaborate on Obama's experiences and qualifications that demonstrate that he understands the threat the terrorism poses to our country and what needs to be done to combat it?

    Don't waste your time on this targus, it's a bottomless pit; once the argument is not answerable by your "loyal opposition", the focus will be ever so quickly shifted again and the whole process starts over.

    Best to totally ignore and let the puppy whine!

    No - stating that Obama fails to see that the terrorist threat comes from the Muslim world is not playing the Muslim card.

    Understanding the nature of the threat is the first step to defending against it.

    Then a male doctor should never undertake to be an OB-GYN? Same logic applies.

    No, your analogy would only apply if the OP said that Obama does not understand terrorism because he is not a terrorist.

    You never fail to amuse. :laugh:

    Paul never said BO is disqualified from service as President. What I understand is that BO is severely handicapped from being Commander-in-Chief by his lack of military experience.
    It's like a Harvard graduate telling a squad of street-hardened, crime-weary, loyal and hardworking cops how they are to behave in a situation where a drug-crazed felon who just massacred a whole bunch of decent, law-abiding citizens, or broke the law by killing scum like him, is now mouthing invectives at the cops and getting ready to assault them !
    Or a PhD in management whose hands are as soft as a rose petal telling a 20-year veteran of floor mopping how he is to use the mop without causing injury to those around him who might want to walk on the wet floor.
    Or a pencil-pushing general who has never seen a day of actual combat to tell battle-hardened soldiers and marines how to conduct a combat patrol.

    He is an abberation, and so is anyone who proposes to be Commander-in-Chief with no idea of what field life is.

    well, maybe.
    The fact remains that someone coming from pure civilian life into the presidency of any country when that country is at war, whether or not declared, cannot but help himself when he enacts or proposes laws that try to incorporate purely civilian values and methodologies into an organization whose culture and way of thinking is by and large martial.
    The compensating factor would be surrounding oneself with advisers that are both "hawks" and "doves" to achieve a balance, and remaining neutral, which I don't think Obama has done, so far.
    He is a liberal ultra-left, and so are most of his civilian advisers.

    "Help, Professor Peabody, I'm stuck in the Wayback machine!"

    How many McVeigh terrorist attacks have there been in the past ten years?

    How many Muslim terrorist attacks have there been in that time?

    I, for one, am right there beside you. King Zero has no clue about patriotism, or pride of country, or even duty of a countryman. Terrorism is just a buzzword for him. Neither he, nor his cronies, have or want a clue as to what terrorism is or what should be done to stem it.

    Yes, Palin would fall into many of the same categories as Zero on this one. She does, however, have the love and respect for this nation that is utterly lacking in King Zero. While I don't know if I would vote for Palin if she were running (due to other concerns), I do know and believe that she wouldn't have a problem saluting our flag or not bowing down to every other ruler int he world.
