    From the decision"

" It bears repeating that our opinion does not address the content of the law that governs petitioners’ detention. That is a matter yet to be determined. We hold that petitioners may invoke the fundamental procedural protections of habeas corpus. The laws and Constitution are designed to survive, and remain in force, in extraordinary times. Liberty and security can be reconciled; and in our system they are reconciled within the framework of the law. The Framers decided that habeas corpus, a right of first importance, must be a part of that framework, a part of that law."

EXACTLY, else "We have met the enemy andthey are us," Pogo.

anyone who thinks that non-citizens engaged in acts of war should be given Constitutional rights...they either have a problem with the most basic understanding of our laws; they have a problem with basic reading skills; they desire our country to fail; or a combination of the above factors.

Acts of war inside the US? How many of the people in question were arrested inside the US?

Um, you can't arrest someone that has exploded.

But if you deny that KSM, and others like him, are non-Americans engaged in acts of war, then there's not much to say.

The concept of one person making war on a sovereign nation, even a half dozen crazies - is silly. Or maybe Palin was making economic war against Alaska by not paying property taxes?

This is not one person or a group of persons.

Whether you want to accept it or not there are organized terrorist networks working together with funding from foreign governments set on destroying the U.S.

    Try doubling the dose.

Too much kool-aide and union indoctrination has clearly gone to someone's head.
