We still need a few more people. If you are on the fence give it a try, it is fun. It only takes a few minuets a week to do and makes it more fun to watch a race.

I am sorry, but if I were playing, it would be more like roller derby to me.

I joined the league, but I'm not understanding the way it works. Why do you pick a duplicate set of drivers for a particular week if their scores do not count? Any insight on this?

It lets you change drivers between qualifying and the race.

Starting next week (they don't do it for the Daytona 500) you will get bonus point for pole positions. You might check the rules for sure but I think you get points it your driver qualifies in the first four spots. More points for spot one less down to spot four. You would get these points for any driver you have either starting or back up. Also you can change the drivers from back up to starting after they qualify if you wanted. I think you can change that up to something like 30 or 15 min before race time.

One thing to remember it is a long season (36 races), and you can only start a driver 9 times. It gets very interesting towards the end, you don't want to always start the best drivers in every race early on or you wont have them left to use later in the season. Picking some dark horses now and again goes a long way in helping you out overall, but when to do it and whom to pick is the challenge.

I like it because it makes watching the races a lot more fun, you have some vested interest in four drivers each race, as they slide up and down the leader board, or if they are in a crash like unfortunately AJ did for me yesterday.

PS: If qualifying is rained out, they won't award extra pole points that week.

Clint Bowyer killed me this week. This is why this is such a challenge, anyone can brake down or wreck on any given week. With such a long season your fantasy team can go from good to bad quickly or bad to good just as fast.

It sure makes watching a race more fun to have a vested interest in four drivers.

Yeah, it does make the race more interesting. I find myself pulling for guys I normally wouldn't care about.

When Keso and Busch were 1-2 near the end I was really sitting pretty, but they both faded.

You had a really good week.

What really becomes interesting is later in the year when you have used up or almost used up some of your favorite drivers. Last years I was in a league and was in first place almost the entire year. I made the mistake of not leaving myself enough good options and lost it in the last few weeks. Be sure to save a few starts for some good drivers for the later weeks.

What a killer. My team was looking like it was heading for a pretty nice finish when three of my four drivers all ended up in the same crash with only a handful of laps to go. Wipe out!

I think you made up for that bad finish with the race at Talledega. Congratulations on passing everybody!
