Here is a great line I noticed in the news. Preachers on the board should be able to use this as a great metaphor in sermons.

    Bold mine.

Almost every day there's news of global warming's poster children being caught in one lie after another. The United States needs to take the lead and tell the U.N. and other Global Warming liars what they can do with themselves. Now, that's an example that I can applaud.

Wow, what an off topic response. Oh well ..........................

Can you see how you could use this line as a metaphor in a sermon on a whole variety of topics? Same question to SAG.

Of course when it comes to temperance. But, to say that the U.S. needs to set the right example concerning global warming is nothing short of continuing a lie.

Can you give me an example of how you would use the quote as a metaphor?

Why should one use falsehoods as metaphors?

What is your motive Crabby? I trust you about about as much as I trust Al Gore.

Just curious how you would use the phrase as a metaphor.

Crabby wants to play teacher again - handing out homework and quizzing the dunces.

Not off topic at all considering the entire premise of your op is false and has been debunked. There is no reason to preach such trash. I will stick to the word of God. You stick with your experiences.

Are you saying you cannot see how the statement can be used as a metaphor?

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I hope you took a good winter coat with you to New Mexico. It is kind of cold out there at 7000+ feet.

Also, I do hope the adjustment to the New Mexico culture will not prove too difficult for you and your family.

    You started this pointless thread.

Why don't you start by giving us the first metaphor since there is obviously some inane thing that you are just dying to say.

Or better yet - just jump to the Bush bashing and get it over with.

Don't get your nose out of joint. History is history and we know where and when these deficits began.

But then, "You can't preach temperance from a bar stool."

Neither are fairy tales, but Crabby apparently has no trouble believing them...
