If it were possible, could Obama be the first president impeached for a poor job performance?

In the real world, CEO's, Company President's, etc., are fired all the time for failure to perform at the level expected of them in order to make, or, keep the company successful.

In Obama's case, he has done exactly nothing, "zip", "nil", "nada!" in his first 14 months as POTUS. If there was a law that allowed the citizens, who put him in office, to also have the power to "remove him from office", do you think it would be time to hold a special election and send him and Michelle packing before he drags this nation so far down the road of financial ruin that we become totally beholden and subservient to China in financial servitude?

While your feedback, input, and comments are greatly appreciated, I'm just as concerned about your taking the time to vote in the above poll.

Thanks for taking the time to make this poll an interesting event.

    Shalom,

    Pastor Paul :type:

I wish but likely not! The problem is that Congress would have to act in complete hypocrisy to do so because their job performance is also dismal.

He should be impeached for failure to provide proper documentation of his birth and school records, which he is still hiding from the public.

He should be impeached for spending more money than any other president within the first year of office.

He should be impeached for embracing and apologizing to our enemies instead of standing up for this country.

He should be impeached for his cunning attempt to ruin this country and destroy our constitutional freedoms.

He should be impeached for his ineptitude and poor job performance.

Hopefully, he will be removed from office in the next election. I have a feeling the citzens of the U.S. will send him packing. It's sad that much damage will have already been done by then.

    Those Are Great Accusations, Thanks...

You couldn't have put it better. It sounds to me that you are a "wee-bit" frustrated with the President:laugh:. O hope this post and poll allow many Board Members to get their anger with Obama off their chest. Thanks for the input, I should have included all of those accusations, too!

The Constitution, Art II Sec 4 says that POTUS or VPOTUS can be impeached for Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors. While I don't approve of Obama's job performance, I've yet to see convincing evidence that he's guilty of any of the above.

There will be a chance for impeachment come next General Election.

This thread reminds me of the liberal folks hollering for impeaching George W. Bush for years during his two terms.

Yes. Many (my senator Lamar Alexander for one) said that they feared the Clinton impeachment would let a genie out of the bottle that would never return. I fear he's right. Impeachment is not to do what the ballot box couldn't do.

I'm in agreement. The people elected this mess and now they are getting what many were warned was coming. But, look at the alternative. McCain isn't much better.

Absolutely not. I love our constitution. I would not want it changed to suit the capricious whims of the masses.

Even if there were a national recall referendum I would vote no. We have a constitutional process. Our leaders cannot lead while constantly looking over their shoulders.

Our constitution gives us the chance to change the government every 2 years. That is where the focus needs to be. Every single member of the House and 1/3 of the Senate is up for election every two years.

We have the power to make a change constitutionally. The question is only if we have the will to do it.

Our track record is not great.

There were constitutional grounds for considering impeachment for President Clinton. He perjured himself and was guilty of a 'high crime' or at least a 'misdemeanour.'

Obama wouldn't be impeached if he committed murder on the Senate floor.
