    ... the "corpse of freedom!"

Church: it is time to pray like we've never before prayed. And it is also imperative that we don't forget that Jesus commissioned ALL of us to go out and make Disciples of all men, women and children. Now, more than ever before, is the time to share the Gospel message of Salvation. The fields before you are white unto harvest...

Our job on earth is not done until we here that trumpet in heaven announce the Second Coming of Jesus Christ!

    Shalom,

    Pastor Paul :type:

While I disagree with your assessment of freedom, we are told to pray without ceasing. On that we can agree.

Actually, that is an interpretation. As I recall, when Jesus made that commission only Apostles were present.

The other day we were flying back over the Atlantic and I checked out my window to be sure that the nation wasn't burning from the fires of destruction that would have inevitably been raised after Sunday night.

Imagine my relief when I saw a serene coastline with no fires or destruction. ;)

Not completely sure how a bill whose provision don't fully go into effect until 2011 can be seen as the destruction of the Union. Plenty of time to have it repealed...particularly when all of Congress is out of work come November.

Context, man, context. Jesus only said that to one rich young man who thought he was perfectly keeping the commandments. Jesus showed him that he loved and trusted his money more than God.

    Good Catch TC

I don't think Oldman was being serious. I thought he was being sarcastic, but, your catch of the wrong use of this verse is but another reminder, that we need to be careful of how we use and interpret Scripture.

After reading some of his other posts, I think you are right about him being sarcastic - but it was to late to edit my post.

It's getting easier and easier to obey a literal interpretation of this commandment.
