I checked most of the questions:

I think homosexuality is a sin. YES

I would welcome a homosexual to attend my church. YES - However, they would find out quickly that homosexuality is a sin and that Christ died for that sin as well. They would learn the Biblical stance on homosexuality and they would have to decide what to do. If they became saved, they would be counseled on leaving that lifestyle.

I would go out to eat with a homosexual. YES - And I would minister to them to either accept Christ if they had not or leave that lifestyle if they were saved.

I would allow a homosexual to visit my home. YES - I've had a homosexual even live with us for a time as she struggled with family issues. She did eventually leave the homosexual lifestyle.

I wouldn't mind if my child had homosexual friends. YES - As long as it was like any other sinner-friend - that they were not close friends and that my child would be ministering to the friend to know Jesus and leave the lifestyle.

I could work alongside a homosexual. YES - In a secular workplace. I'd have an issue if they were working for the church, however.

I really don't want to have anything to do with homosexuals. NO - I'm told to preach the Gospel to all.

I could and would sit through a class taught by a homosexual. I DIDN'T CHECK THIS ONE because I was thinking in a church situation. However, in a secular situation (a first-aid class, a college class, etc.), it wouldn't matter.

I have friends that are homosexual. YES - They are not close friends but friends none-the-less. They also know the truth of the Gospel and God's stance on homosexuality. I will not be close friends since there is a very basic thing that does not allow for us to be close friends - the lack of Christ in their lives.

I couldn't not agree with any of the above comments. NO

The first answer is the only one that comes close to what I would answer, but instead of "I think", it should be "Homosexuality IS a sin." Of course, so is lying, adultery, and many other things Christians do. The only way I would welcome a homosexual who is living that life is if he is seeking God's forgiveness and cleansing from that sin.

Anyone living openly in sin should not be allowed to participate in any position in a church. The same holds true for other sins if someone is known to be habitually committing that sin.

I recently went to a training for my job. The training was in the secular realm, albeit one of the best trainings I had gone to for my current job for different reasons for me personally.

One of the trainers there was a gay man who was in his 50's. He had come out as being gay since he was 13.

What spoke to me from this man was the fact that he had gotten a lot of ill treatment from church people; although I don't know if I believe anything would have changed his direction (I hope that it would), something he said that could have/could now be of benefit is that people be KIND. You don't have to agree, but people need to be kind. In doing so you show God's kindness.

    Yes homosexuality is a sin
Yes I would welcome one to visit our church, but not be a member unelss they repent, are saved and leave the homosexual life style.
Yes I would go out to eat with them or even welcome them in my home.
By class do you mean church? If so, then the answer is no, they are living a lifestyle God calls sin, and are approving of it, and no church should ahve someone like this teaching, what are they going to teach, to obey God when they themselves will not attempt to obey God and leave their lifestyye behind.

My daughter in laws brother is homosexual, sweet guy, very effiminate, he kows we're christians, he knows we love him, he also knows we do not approve of homosexuality, he talked with my husband once about it. And yes we've had a chance to share the Lord with him. Problem is, he lives 100 miles away, attends a pro homosexual church, who sees nothing worng with homosexuality, so he thinks it all ok with God.

I took the question to be teaching in chuch also, until saggy explained her recent job training. I wouldn't see a problem with job taining lead by a homosexual, after all it's not a christian setting and he isn't teaching homosexuality in anyway.

Homosexual BEHAVIOR is sinful. The state of being a homosexual may not be. We cannot choose our orientations, can we? But we can choose what we do with our natures, whether we be homosexual or heterosexual. To either, it seems to me, the same rules apply: that God's intention is for sexual activity to be within the confines of marriage, as understood to be between a man and a woman. All others are to keep their desires in check. Difficult? Perhaps. But impossible or unreasonable? Not at all.

as christians we can chose God or sin, so yes we can choose our orientations, continuing to be homosexual only means choosing to be disobedient in lifestlye, making disobedience a habit of life, by choice, after salvation. Saying we can not chose our orientation is giving an excuse for what God calls sin.

Not too long ago, a local church softball team (denomination removed) played the team from the local gay men's chorus (yes, they have a team). After the game, the church guys left the field without as much as shaking hands after the game. A Christian friend of mine had a lot of expaining to do to her gay friend after that one.
