Do you know the origin of the word Shekinah? Do you know where in the Talmud this concept is discussed? (or even where to find the word Shakhan?)

No, not the person in Ezra. There are a zillion different spellings that I've run across! The one I'm thinking of is what people think of as a type of presence/manifestation of God, or what some believe to be the "glory" which covered Adam and Eve until they sinned and were "uncovered."

Yeah, it is funny how so many of those old Hebrew words are so often similar.

Thanks Amy. That is a good article and does explain the origin and it is bookmarked now.
While that is useful, I am trying to go into a bit more depth with the actual word it is derived from and where that word is found.

Yes, many commentators relate the word Shekinah to the Hebrew "shakan," translated thorn-bush. This is the word for the bush Moses saw which was aflame, but not consumed. Many scholars agree that what Moses saw was the glory of God.

Thank you Tom! Now do you remember who any of those commentators are, or have a suggestion of where to start looking? I'm gonna start with online ones that can be found connected to online Bibles and look in Exodus to see if there's any mention there, but if you know any more specifics I'd appreciate it!

Gina, I did Google Shekinah and thorn bush, and just about everything that came up related the two words.

However, my post was based on a margin note in an old Bible of mine, the source of which I do not remember.
