Is it a good thing for a nation of laws to provide amnesty to the estimated 12 million/plus "Illegal Immigrants" - living illegally in America, after illegally entering this country - the "hand-shake" of amnesty?!?!?!?

Obama, just like Ronald Wilson Reagan, is preparing to make amnesty available for all of those Mexicans who crossed over our borders illegally in order to partake of their version of the America dream.

To these illegal immigrants from south of our borders, that dream is to be holed up in a single family home packed to the with 4 to 7 families, and countless number of children; to have a minimum paying job; to have a car, but, no legal drivers license and insurance; to have access to our American Emergency Rooms at little, or no cost to them or their family members (but, an added expense to our insurance for our twenty-five dollar band-aides, and ten dollar a piece Tylenol when we visit the same ER); to earn more money in a month than they would earn in a year in Mexico; to be able to mail a large portion of their minimum pay paycheck back to their relatives and family still in Mexico; to never have to assimilate into the American society and culture; to not have to be burdened with learning English; to be able to become an American citizen by conceiving and giving birth to a child while illegally living here; to get their children an education that is far superior to that in Mexico; to be able to join thousands of other illegals as they march in "lock-step" to demand that the American government give them "amnesty" and allow them to move to the front of the line, in front of those legal immigrants who applied for citizenship and are patiently waiting for their day to be a legal citizen of this country.

Yes, this is their dream... BUT, at the same time, while our government contemplates amnesty, their very presence in America is quickly growing into a nightmare for Americans as we see these people destroy the very good thing about America: the right to come here legally, and become part of the greatest "melting-pot" society this world has ever known.

Truly, the illegal immigrants have worn out their welcome. And should Obama, just like Ronald Wilson Reagan, grant these people the right to remain here, and be eligible for a fast-track to U.S. citizenship, the laws that should protect our nation from being over-run by illegal visitors breaking laws by the handful, will be so severely water-downed, that stopping future illegals from coming over the border will be next to impossible. Our borders and the laws to protect us from be over-run by illegals will be nothing more than a joke to those contemplating a better life in America.

I see the problem with amnesty for illegal immigrants as being two-fold:

    1) It takes the teeth out of immigration laws, and any other laws (i.e., having a valid driver's license, car insurance, speaking English, assimilating into this society, etc., next to impossible to enforce) this country may have. After all, they already broke the most serious law (entering America illegally), and in turn for their ILLEGAL ACTIVITY, they were given immediate citizenship. And believe me, for those who have broken the most serious law - entering our country illegally - most will continue to wonder if they really have to obey the other laws of this new land. And, who would blame them. They came illegally, they found jobs, they marched for and demanded amnesty, openly waved the flag of the homeland, and were eventually welcomed with open arms of the very government that was elected to protect us - its legal citizens - against all enemies, "foreign and domestic", and illegal immigrants are nothing less than an invading force of humans from another nation coming to America without legal permission for the purpose of invading this land.

    2) America is growing so fast, and it is growing with a tremendous influx of "third-world" families and individuals - some criminal, some malcontents, some escaping poverty and tyranny, some truly wanting a better life - that, in turn this places a serious demand on the government to provide aide and assistance to its newest citizens, making most of them highly dependent upon government paid benefits. In turn, this overwhelms the tax paying base of this country, meaning more taxes for those who are already paying taxes, fees, and surcharges at a pace that eats up more, and more of their leisure and fun time income! Pretty soon, the tax paying base in America will be paying more taxes in order to support these new - once illegal - citizens, who continue to send their money back to the third-world country of their origin.

America is the land of the free... it has always been open to those who want a better life, but, it had strict laws on how a person could come here and become a part of the greatest experiment in human melting pot societies. If we allow the government to continue to water-down the manner in which a person becomes a citizen, we will one day join the ranks of those countries from which our once illegal immigrants came.

Amnesty will destroy this country. It is time that the government implement fines so large that companies and employers hiring illegals come close to going bankrupt by having to pay the fine.

Or, like this government has already been doing since the market meltdown, take over that company, and run it by "replacing" all the illegals with unemployed Americans.

Either way, without jobs, illegals will head back home and never again dream of having a better life in America at the expense of Americans!!!

Tell your Senators, Congresspersons, and the President that amnesty for illegal aliens isn't the answer. It wasn't the answer back when our relatives came to Ellis Island decades ago, and it isn't the answer today.

    Shalom,

    Pastor Paul :type:

    Question:
Is it illegal to be an alien in this country?
No.... when properly entered and identified with legal permission within the contract of terms, conditions, and limits.
    Can any alien enter?
    No. Permission is required.
If permission isn't given or isn't applied for.... what then?
The person is not here legally and can be criminally held for breaking the law and/or deported.
Should an illegal allien be given amnesty?
Should a criminal be given amnesty?

Do you have a source for the 12 million? They were saying most likely 20 well over a year ago and it is most likely higher than that from the stats I've seen over the months. Not that it matters much, just take longer to deport them all if anyone gets up the guts to do it.

My objection to this sort of thinking is that the argument is not for "a nation of law" but that the laws must be applied to minority groups whom we don't like. For example, uninsured drivers. The majority are "free, white, and over 21." Me, I would support towing any car driven by an uninsured driver including my own relatives.

The reason it is difficult to convict drunk drivers is that on most juries, at least one out of 12 thinks, "That could have been me, last Friday."

It Could be More than Twenty!!!

I don't doubt your number's. Maybe the 12 million I mentioned is the number in California.

You hit this ball out-of-the-park exscentric! It will take some one with the "guts" to deport them, and I doubt that there is any one, from either party, who will push that button.

Still, it must be done. It is but "one" step in getting back America! :type:

    You Are Off Course...

Applying the laws in regard to illegal entry into our nation have nothing to do with "not liking that particular race, or, nationality." It has EVERYTHING to do with deporting the offenders, and making them realize that our laws are applicable to anyone who doesn't follow the proper way to gain entrance into the U.S.

This post has nothing to do with driving drunk, or, young white drivers who do not have a license. PLEASE read the post for what it is, not, for what you want to use to tear it apart and spin it your way to take away from the topic of Illegal Aliens taking over America without anyone doing anything about it.

:praying:for your senses to awaken!!! And to stop driving while drunk??? And, just one question: Were you tipping the bottle when you read this post, and wrote your comments?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Since it was our government that allowed these people to come here, virtually unmolested, in the past, I don't see how that giving them amnesty now would be anything but right!

    Great Point, Robert, BUT...

... that line of thought would grant those folks who are now up-side-down on their mortgage to be bailed out, because as you say, "Since it was our government that allowed these people" to get into these high-risk loans, "I don't see how that giving them" a financial out, would be "anything but right!"

    Would you not agree???
