Republican senators called into question Goodwin Liu's temperament as a possible judge, blasting the controversial 9th Circuit Court of Appeals nominee during his confirmation hearing Friday over statements he made about Supreme Court Judge Samuel Alito's "vision of America."

At the time of Judge Alito's confirmation process Liu was quoted as saying that "in Judge Alito's America, the police may shoot unarmed Americans ... the FBI may install a camera where you sleep ... an all white jury may convict a black man to death."

Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala, ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said the professor's views "represent the very vanguard of what I would call intellectual judicial activism."

This tells you all you need to know. These people are liars...and their lying knows no bounds. They'll tell lies that are intended to completely destroy another's character, or demolish their career--all to prove a point, or push an agenda. This is an "Al Sharpton" kind of lie.
But we want to give a lifetime appointment to a cretin like this...to the highest court in the land? We want to make him (with our modern, activist system) one of the nine most powerful people in the US??

    That figures.

Make no mistake--Obama, and most of Congress, is not the least bit concerned about this guy's slanderous statements. He could say anything...it won't matter. He's going to get in...no matter what.

These people are enemies of freedom. They are enemies of the truth. They're certainly enemies of the middle class--of anyone they don't deem "oppressed"--and most certainly of any baby not yet born.

He sounds like the person most of you would want on the bench.

Not that the truth concerns you much...but I want a judge that will faithfully interpret the Constitution.

Now...to satisfy my interest...the quote of Liu's that you felt was "like a person I would want" (a lie, by the way...)

...do you think I want a violent person?
    ...or a tyrant?
    ...or a racist?

The non-answer, off-topic post I anticipate your giving, should be interesting...

    >"I see it as very vicious, emotional, racist charge," added Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz.

How does one logically go from the the quote to Kyl's statement?

    Well Bill,
Goodwin Liu is Asian,so he be racist, just like any white male. That goes for Jesse Jackson,Al Sharpton, and others in the race-baiting business.

I heard the same charges made against Robert Bork.

Obama's America is what Liu is speaking of.

But,someone like you wouldn't understand that.

This potential nominee is not worthy of consideration for SCJ when you take into consideration his past statements.

    Right you are,Cutter !

Here are 3 links to what Liu HAS said in the past about Justices Alito & Roberts:

Liu is TOTALLY UNQUALIFIED to be on the bench of the 9th.District Court or the Supreme Court.

And Liu's America (detailed in the above articles) is the one to fear !
