As the news reports continue to come in regarding the attempt to ignite an explosive device on Saturday night, May 1, 2010, I can't help but ask myself if America is truly as safe under this administration as it appeared to be under Bush.

After all, in the last seven months, we have experienced three terrorist attacks on American soil.

To refresh your memories, the attacks started at Fort Hood, Texas on November 5, 2009. It was there that an Army Major took to shooting and killing 13 other soldiers, and for those - like me - who believe that a fetus is an unborn person, that total of kills at Fort Hood actually stands at 14.

This "whack" job of an Army officer committed these murders in the name of Allah. He was successful in his attempt to bring terror to American soil.

Than on December 27, 2009 we had a Nigerian "wacko" try to bring down a plane full of people heading to Detroit to spend the remainder of Christmas Day with their family, friends and loved ones. Although his attempt to ignite an explosive device was NOT successful, it was the attempt that counts.

Than on May 1, 2010 a naturalized American citizen attempted, UNSUCCESSFULLY, to ignite, what some say, would have been a huge fireball of death and destruction in the heart of Times Square, New York.

This is a total of three "radical" Muslim attempts to disrupt the American way of living through acts of violent terrorism. :tonofbricks:

Praise God that two of the three FAILED in their attempts to be listed as the men who killed "innocent citizens" of the much dreaded Great Satan.

These terrorist attempts will more than likely be victimized by the "spin-doctors" in the WH (SEE: http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2505157/posts ), in an attempt to remove fear and concern as to how safe we are by being out-and-about, and in public places.

The truth is, the terrorists of the world have most definitely stepped up their Jihad against us, and, we do not appear to be safe. But by the grace of God, we could've been looking at three major terrorists attacks in the last 7 months, with an unknown number of "innocent" people injured and dead.

What comes next? These terrorists are eventually, going to get lucky... and, that brings me back to my original question: Is America Safe Under Obama???

Shalom, and may God Bless America!

It is my hope and prayer that we are safe. I try to pray for OUR President at least once a week, as I did for GW Bush.

These are definitely turbulent times , brethren.

Living in a free country isn't safe. Hitler didn't tolerate dangerous people.

Regardless of who occupies the White House, the odds are that there will be more successful attacks. The bad guys need to only succeed once. We need to be vigilant, and be ready. But the President, you, or I, cannot do it all alone.

Anyone really worried about being killed by a terrorist? You don't want to go to Jesus? Spend more time worrying about being hit by a bus or a drunk driver.

What bothers me is the attempt by the left to minimize the role that Islam is playing. Mayor Bloomberg's comments were particularly troubling.

    Bloomberg's Words Were Ridiculous

You hit the nail on the head. Sounds like he had just left the bar, and headed for a DUI:laugh:

The problem is, there are a lot of folks that believe him. Than, there were a lot of folks that still think Bush had a hand in blowing up the Twin Towers.

This is truly distrubing for all of us. Our freedom is at risk, and those in leadership seem to be blindly leading us into something bigger and more desructive than 9/11.

If you are going to give the man the blame you need to give him the credit. Under his leadership at least two potentially disastrous terrorist attacks have been averted and who knows how many lives have been saved?

And since you compared him to President Bush, what was Bush's record of terrorist attacks at this stage of his presidency?
