Simple poll, will Obama suffer in popularity and lose votes for the manner in which he is handling the Gulf/BP oil rig disaster ???

Feel free to comment, but, don't forget the poll, too!

    Shalom,

    Pastor Paul :type:

He will but there isn't a lot more he can do than what he has already done - commentary and rebuke.

Does anyone doubt that he has an army of experts advising him?

Everyone is scratching their heads about this one-of-a-kind disaster.
No one knows what to do.

It can't really be compared to an oil spill such as the Valdez because it is not an oil spill but a mile deep underwater oil geyser.

All we can do is continue to try to cap it and then deal with the aftermath which is yet to fully develop and may turn out to be a global tragedy in relation to the world's food supply and destruction of flaura, fauna, fish, birds, mamalia, etc...

I voted yes, because his leadership skills have been shown lacking. He got ripped up pretty good by the press the other day, even Chris Matthews has criticized his handling of the oil spill, and he practically worships Obama.

This is not the worst oil spill ever (yet). I was reading the paper the other day and it said about 38 million gallons of oil have been released so far, but a Mexican oil rig that blew up in the 90's released over 140 million gallons of oil.

SHHH - you're not supposed to announce that.

What is that saying, take advantage of every good disaster.

Assuming that the Gulf will be completed before the end of the summer, and with the election 2 years away - that would be long gone history in political thought.

And if the R's did bring it up, I'm sure the D's would somehow turn it around and call it dirty campaigning

And give the president accolades for cleaning up the mess.
