    Some time ago, I came across a group call the "American Baptist Evangelicals".
    However, I am unable to find any listing for the group now.
    Does anyone have any updated info?

    I have a great deal of affection for this group. In seminary, I was interim and supply at several ABC churches. Several asked me to be their pastor. I refused for various reasons and looking back, I wonder if I did the right thing.

    It looks to me like a 2010 version of the old Conservative Baptist Association. Though, I assume the two organizations are not connected.

    ABE was disbanded because of actions of the ABC-USA where the ABE did not believe they would be able to foster a return to historic Christian roots. Many of the ABE leadership have since left the ABC-USA, so this new group is not designed to focus on a return to historic Christian roots of the denomination, but they are focused on being a separate entity.
