It's been 16 months since Obama took office, and almost every time Obama, or, someone from his administration, opens his mouth to speak, Bush is "bashed" and "blamed" for all the problems this nation is currently facing.

You can say that Bush is responsible for many of the things that have been a thorn in Obama's side since he became POTUS, however, there has to come a time when the "Bush bashing" ends" and those in this new administration step up to the plate and take personal responsibility.

I truly admire Bush. He had his failures. He had his weak points. And, at times he demonstrated the inability to fully "grasp" the depth and nature of the problem this nation was facing. But, he had the courage to take the bull-by-the-horns, and wrestle it to the ground.

Still, he kept us safe for 8 years, and I admire his ability to keep his mouth shut and not come out of self imposed seclusion to defend himself each time this administration places another problem they're faced with, on his plate.

You have to admire Bush for truly stepping back and staying out of the politics.

He has totally remained outside of DC in order to allow Obama to run the country as while as "run down" his name and presidency. This takes courage, and tough skin. Something the Obama administration seems to be lacking when it comes to the ability to take questions and public criticism on "pressing" issues.

    SEE: http://newsbusters.org/blogs/tom-bl...olds-wh-reporters-asking-so-many-bp-questions

I think the time has truly arrived for this administration to step up to the plate, and quit sending "Bush" in to pinch hit when they are getting behind in the game.

Yes, I know Obama has said the "buck stops with here", but, when he, and his administrative staff bring up his predecessor in explaining why things are still so bad, that is passing the buck beyond where it should have stopped in the first place.

    Shalom,

    Pastor Paul :type:

George W. Bush is in contention for the title of Worst President Ever. I don't think he has the capacity to understand the harm he has caused to this nation. I rather pity him because he seems like a decent gentleman, but he was led along by Cheney and Rumsfeld. The Cheney administration seemed to have the reverse Midas touch- everything they got their pawprints on was messed up. It's hard to imagine a President who failed so miserably in almost every area of policy.

I'm no big fan of Bush, but it's not possible to give a president an accurate "historical ranking" this close to his presidency.

After all...we're still finding out from Barack every few days what all evil things we "inherited from the Bush administration."

Let's wait and find out from Barry exactly how many things Bush did wrong before we confine him to the pit...

Agreed. History - not current events - will pass judgement on the Bush presidency.

Thinking he was led by Chenney is extreme.Thinking we need government health care is extreme and unconstitutional. Supporting a marxist like obama for any reason is extreme. Although Obama is working toward the title you are willing to assign to Bush

I oppose things like gun control and I support the death penalty for first-degree murder and a balanced budget amendment. I'm not an extreme left-winger by any stretch of the imagination. I also love the Constitution.

History Will Tell the Whole Truth...

... only history can tell us how good, or, how bad his presidency truly was.

I shudder to think what history will tell us about Obama. Especially if those who write history are still paying down the trillions of dollars in debt from the health care, amnesty, and the bail outs that continue to go forward.

BTW, I believe you, Paul, when you say you're conservative. You have provided some conservative contributions to prior posts on this forum.

Which fails to address anything I have said. But your standard is that because you hold a few conservative views that diminishes your extreme liberal views. It does not.

    1. While Bush is to be lauded for not responding to criticism, it's commonplace for former presidents to butt out and keep their mouths shut - well, unless your name is Carter. Even Clinton mostly kept his tongue in check. Obama will be expected to do the same.
    2. Even the press is getting tired of the "Blame Bush" strategy (though it works for Obama in the public). His incompetence perceived in relation to the oil disaster in the Gulf is staggering. His blame of Bush for that in the Presser went over like a lead balloon.

I'm not conservative in general, just on some issues. I'm mostly left-of-center in my politics.

    1. No way Obama keeps his mouth shut. This guy's clueless about protocol and class.
    2. He'll keep going back to that one-trick pony. Blaming Bush is how he got elected--it's what he knows. Not to mention, he's used to a constituency that puts up with astounding incompetence, fraud, waste, and monumental stupidity. He'll be in for a shock as America wakes up (at least I hope)...if there's not too many of us either on the dole, or the payroll.

When you get a chance, introduce Obama to it. They've never met.

    *Snicker*

Evidently Obama likes Bush's policies else wise he wouldn't be continuing and even expanding them.

I get a kick out of this thread . . . because as a non Bush/neocon endless war and debt supporter. I was called a liberal and accused of putting my country in danger.

Now that Obama has taken office and I do not support his policies which are basically the same as Bush's and the financial elites they both cater too I am called a right wing extremist and a danger to my country.

Seems that I am an enemy of the state no matter who is in office.

I think it was Orwell who said "in a time of universal deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act"

It's about time you all faced up to the facts. Presidents do not run this country now nor have they for quite some time. The international conglomerated bankers and corporitos do.

Doesn't matter which party is in power. Or who is president. It's the policies of a handfull of globalist oligarchs and the almost absolute power they hold over our government we should really be paying attention too. There, I've said it a million times now. Is anyone listening yet?
