Posting Limits ??

I think some posters like to use the quote key excessively at times, and quote an entire remark when only the portion that they deemed as necessary to be addressed should have been quoted.

 

That seems especially a problem when the quoted material is excessive.

 

I just noticed on another site that the "POST #" is referred to when quoting some portion of a post, which gives the option of going back to the quoted bit and reading the whole thing if desired.

I'm in total agreement that there is too much quoting of a whole post when one or two points are all that are being addressed, and I for one am not going to re-read something that I've already read unless I sense that I've misinterpreted something, in which case I will go back to the original anyway.
