FBC Springdale trades TV for CP

The Winners with Ronnie Floyd Show will soon cease production; church funds will be sent to the Cooperative Program instead.

    Good for him!

This is a much bigger deal than most people might imagine.

Ronnie has wanted to have a weekly television presence since at least 1984, when he proposed televising our worship services at my home church. He didn't get to actually do it until he reached FBC Springdale.

Big deal for the church and his ego, frankly I'm surprised. For the first time in a long time that I can remember, one of the SBC leaders have created a mandate and then are going home putting that mandate into practice.

It's a huge step of integrity.

FBC Springdale has historically given only a very small amount (for it's budget) to Cooperative Giving. With this step, Ronnie is leading the church to sacrifice something they are very proud of for a more self-less purpose.

    I commend him for that.
