Okay, this question comes up often, but I want to ask it slightly differently:

    1. What sport is your favorite to watch if the teams mean nothing to you? That is, if the following sports were all on at the same time, and the teams involved did not involve a team you love, hate, or had a connection to geographically or otherwise, what would you watch? Put 'em in order if you wish.

    College football
    College basketball
    NBA
    NHL
    NFL
    MLS

    2. Let's say all your favorite teams are on at the same time. List the pecking order (who would you watch first, then next, and so on).

Okay...I usually don't go first, but this time I will:

    1. CFB, then CBB, then NFL, then MLB, then NHL, then NBA, then MLS (actually, there are things I'd watch ahead of MLS, but that's another story)
    2. In order, I'd watch the Football Vols, Basketball Vols, Reds, Bengals, Predators, Titans, Baseball Vols. And I'd have an awfully full Tivo :)

    Make sense?

    1. College Football, NFL, Major League Soccer, NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, Major League Baseball, NBA, NHL

    2. Arkansas Razorbacks, Dallas Cowboys, FC Dallas, Houston Astros/Texas Rangers(whichever is having the better season has priority over the other one), San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Stars

Soccer has come out of nowhere to 3rd place. I now have an FC Dallas license frame and FC Dallas bumper sticker on my car. :)

I just like to watch horses. Specifically dressage. Of course if it is a team, I root for the US but individuals, I like Debbie MacDonald. :)

    1) College football, NFL, College basketball

    2) Arkansas Razorbacks.....there are no other team preferences for me. I really am mostly just a college football fan.

Tom, forgive me but I'll give my favorite.

HS baseball, college baseball, NASCAR, HS football, college football, boxing.

I pull for the Gators and every other SEC team when they aren't playing the Gators.

On balance, it seems most of us would prefer two NFL or CFB teams that we had no interest in and that seems to bear out in the general public as to the popularity of the NFL and CFB respectively.

I guess I should put the Lady Vols in there somewhere back in my list.

You have a problem with Derek Dooley? He seemed to be an alright guy when he was head coach at Louisisana Tech about 50 miles from here.

No I forgot they got rid of the Lane Kiffin. Hopefully Dooley will go along way to restore the reputation of the football team.

6 Nations Rugby would be first
    International football second
    College American football

I would watch Ireland play rugby first and Alabama football second.

    Curling.

It's like eating potato chips. You know when you open the bag promising to eat just a few? Same thing with curling. You say to yourself, "What could possibly be exciting about a rock, some ice and a couple of guys or gals with brooms?" Then BOOM! You catch yourself yelling at the skip for not taking out the guard.

I'd watch them or the UConn ladies play over any NBA team.

NFL hands down, only sport hat I watch.
Only college I care about are the UT Vols. Dooley seems like a class act. While Kiffin was a classless piece of work, that's for sure.
Other sports I watch when it is championship time.
Do occasionally pull for the Yankees and Braves!

    Regarding the Football Vols:
Dooley brought class back to the Hill the moment Lanie left. Dooley has today suspended two of Lanie's kids and dismissed another due to an altercation at a bar. We're back to Fulmer days here, and those were missed.

    1. Football - The Chicago Bears have always been my favorite football team. I even liked them when all my classmates were on the Steelers and Cowboys bandwagon in the 70s. I was the only one who had any Bears gear at the time.

Wait. I really like baseball. It was my favorite sport as a kid and the one I know the most about, and the 1975-76 Cincinnati Reds were the greatest teams ever, so let's go with baseball.

    1. Baseball - Cincinnati Reds. It's easier to like them now. They've got a lot of good players right now and they should, since they kept picking near the top of the draft for a long time.

    2. Football - Chicago Bears

Wait. I really like basketball. Probably my favorite sport to watch and definitely play even though I've gotten old and can't play like I used to, which wasn't very good in the first place, though I can rebound and play solid D.

    1. Basketball - The Boston Celtics were my team in high school because of Bird. Bird is the word.

I like Nascar, but I admit that I liked it better in the 90s. However, not because I think the racing was better then, because it's pretty good right now. I miss the 90s because it meant Dale Earnhardt was driving and I pulled so hard for him to win.

It seems I have 4 #1's here. Oh, and there's nothing like watching playoff hockey. And the college basketball NCAA tournament was sensational this year.

It's a total copout to not have a list as was asked, but I just enjoy watching all sports. If there's a competition on, I'm watching and choosing a side.

Baseball, basketball, football, Nascar, F1, Indycar, hockey, soccer, tennis, golf majors, rugby if it was available for me to watch. Did I miss any?
