Two girls lost their mother....please pray.

    Please pray for Brittany (16.5) and Natalie (15). Two sweet girls I taught about 7-8 years ago.

    Their mother was grocery shopping late Saturday and driving Brittany's car. She fell asleep and went off the road and the steering wheel rammed into her body and killed her.

    Their mother was a hard-working woman and their father is a very hard working man. The family was very close.

    Brittany is hysterically blaming herself because she says that she and Natalie should have been helping their mother that day and maybe she wouldn't have been out so late. Also, Brittany had her mother's relatively new SUV with airbags and was out on the town with friends. Her mother was driving Brittany's very small and ancient vehicle that they bought for Brittany only so that she could take herself and Natalie to their Christian school that is very far away. You know, the typical "my first car" type thing.

    Natalie is in shock. She looks like a zombie. The funeral was today.

    It's horrible and sad.

    Please pray for this family's recovery and that they will not blame themselves. There is no blame here.

    Awww, give them both a hug for me.

    And tell them from a mother's point of view, she'd rather have died driving that little car than had her daughter die driving that little car. Mothers think about these things and that is certainly to be part of the reason she sent the girls with the "new" car. It is exactly why I send my dd out at night in my "new" car.

    Dear Loving Heavenly Father,we are saddened for the family who have lost their mother,wife,friend,and neighbor. We pray that You bring healing to their hearts and healing the guilt in Brittany's heart, bless her heart!
    We do not understand why these things happen except we know that sin entered the world and has brought much suffering and sorrow. May something good come out of this tragedy in the precious name of Jesus Who is filled with compassion and care. Amen:praying:

    That's sad to hear. These types of stories only get minimal news coverage but they are life-changing for those most affected.

    May the Lord be with them and help them through this time.
