Blame Barney Frank for the Recession, Not George Bush
    by Jeff Dunetz

The progressive Democrats in power must believe that the citizens of this country are absolute morons, either that or they haven’t read a newspaper in two years and don’t realize that George Bush is no longer president. The Democratic party plans on retaining their change message for their 2010. Their new tag line is “vote for us, or its back to the bad old economic policies of George Bush. That’s right Barack Obama and his progressive majority are going to campaign as if they were all still in kindergarten “Its not my fault….blame Bush.”

It is no more all Bush's fault than it is Obama's fault. Although many here seem to blame everything on our current President.

No one has ever said that the current recession is Obama's fault.

Although his policies are certainly responsible for deepening and extending it.

    Absolutely!

But ol' Barney sure did his part to help get it rolling as did Obama with his voting record in the Senate.

Frank blames the entire bank mess on Bush, even though he let the way to stop Bush from making changes that needed to be made.
BHO and his people seem to blame everything on Bush. In New Orleans they were blaming the oil well mess on Bush.
Many democrats blame everything that goes wrong on Bush.
Bush had many problems but he also did much well. Yes, I'm a republican but the last republican for president I voted for was Reagan (voted 3rd. party). And in my mind Truman was more conservative than Reagan.

Just curious, it's none of my business; how did you vote the other times? I'm assuming Perot would be one of them?

In the 91' election my Dad was for Clinton, I wanted to re-elect the elder Bush, we knew we were going to cancel each other's vote out, and we both kinda liked Perot, so we agreed to both vote Perot. The 3rd party that year cost Bush the election, and Clinton got to ride the economic upturn and get credit for it.

No, I didn't vote for Perot. He was a lot like George Wallace, I went and heard each of them at different times give their speech. After George spoke, if some one would have handed me a ballot, I would have voted for him. I went there to hear him because I didn't like anything I had heard about the man. After much more reading over the next few days I was right back to where I didn't like the man's politics. But after seeing him speak, I see how a lot of political leader got where they went.

I went to hear Perot because I believed that I would like him, came out not very sure of him, checked him out and said no way.

Each election except for the last one in which I voted for a Florida boy Charles Baldwin, I had voted for Thomas Sowell, and I would vote for him if the republicans would run him.

You are correct, Perot votes cost G.H.W. Bush the election. He and George W. Bush are rather liberal in my book. But Jeb was rather conservative as governor of Florida.

Perot had that 'sucking sound' of jobs leaving the States due to NAFTA and WTA correct.

I wonder if Jeb will test the waters for 2012.
