4 words...less spending, smaller government.

Could it be that they interviewed many people and only reported the 4 most diverse responses? That sounds like something our mainstream media would do.

I am curious why they chose to take on the title of "Tea party" - an event which, if it occurred today, would most likely be considered an act of terrorism by conservatives. Destruction of private property by those who dressed as a culture which was generally opposed to American values.

 

Yes, I think incremental happiness value of additional income peaks, and at $75K seems reasonable. We increased our income over $75K when my mother-in-law died and I'm not any happier. Don't think The Wife is happier. Traveling is nicer since we upgraded from Motel 6 and Super 8 to Best Western. We still buy used cars.

 

Why don't you try sharing that increase with the needy instead and see if that increases your happiness.

I am guessing that it will.

 

FWIW, studies show that it takes about 4-8 times as much money to make one twice as happy.

 

I'm still wondering how one quantifies "happiness".

What is "twice as happy"?

 

How does one even define happiness? How do you know when you are happy? What is happiness?

If you can answer those satisfactorily for yourself and you can identify if something makes you more happy, then by the same process of reasoning you can self-identify if something makes you "twice as happy."
