    See link

Customs agent Perez, who has been regarded as one who may have helped to delay flight 93 on 11 Sep, may be demoted.

    Why?

He took a govt vehicle home against SOP. His vehicle was broken into and his firearm, keys and other sensitive items were stolen.

So should this hero be demoted?

Sounds like a pretty reasonable situation.

He admits to a lapse in judgement in taking a government van home against policy. He admits a significant security breach occurred when this van was burglarized and his gun, bullets, laptop and office keys were stolen.

He is being investigated and while under investigation is suspended of activities but is still being paid to report to work. The investigation has lasted a long time and this probably has something to do with his pseudo-celebrity status because otherwise, he probably would have been fired by now.

Many men capable of indivdual moments of heroism fail in the prolonged toil of life. His actions that he is in trouble for now have nothing to do with the acts of nine years ago. They should not detract from what he has done, but neither should a single act excuse poor judgement today.

Yes if that is the rules. He is no different then any other employee. His past does not fix this wrong. He needs to be dealt with as any onther person would in the same circumstances.

A (somewhat) national talk show host, Michale ??? of Philedphai is having a fit about this. If someone knows his name, please do so.

    Thanks,
