Bellwood Baptist had a building fire early Sun morning. The church is located in North Syracuse, NY and is affilated with the SBC.

I like what Pastor Matt said: "God will get us through this, it's just bricks and wood, and that can be replaced".

Please keep the church in prayer. I personally know many who attend Bellwood.

I know that Alabama Baptist has a fairly quick process of providing temporary church facilities (that sometimes become permanent), in case of fire or natural disaster.

Does NY have anything like that? Do they have any needs that aren't being met? Any specific things that we can do, provide or pray for?

Just recd this from the DOM this am:

Last week I told you about the fire at Bellewood, North Syracuse. They now have a temporary meeting place. It is the St. Thomas Episcopal Church building at 137 Gertrude Street in North Syracuse. That congregation no longer meets at that facility, so Bellewood will be able to use the entire building. Praise the Lord! Matt Hallenbeck is pastor.

Ed Hart is the DOM for the Central New York Baptist Association and here is the website for Bellwood Baptist

    Buildings burn, God's church continues!

That said, I can only imagine what this means to that church and upholding these dear brothers and sisters in prayer.

If YOU had it, it didn't burn in the fire. That's the upside!!
