Halliburton has cost the American tax payer billions and yet has not paid any taxes for years. Now we see they are primarily responsible for the Gulf oil crisis. Why is it they support Republicans? Why is it Republicans continue to support a corporation that has caused the US such harm?

    False premise.

    From your article...

"Not the sole factor, of course; most of the blame for the disaster, says the staff, still rests with BP and Transocean, the company BP hired to drill the well."

Perhaps you should learn to discipline yourself to not misrepresent simply to push your agenda of hate for Republicans.

Perhaps you should learn to discipline yourself to not hate those who you do not agree with.

Of course there are numerous factors. But it is obvious that Halliburton has no compunction to act ethically in its business practices.

You didn't answer the question, why does Halliburton court Republicans? Why do Republicans support Halliburton when it is shown to be such a harmful company to American and the American taxpayer?

The Democrat who they gave a contribution to should return the money and apologize ... as should the Republican politicians who accepted contributions.

And it is obvious that you have no compunction to act ethically in posting about Republicans.

You said that Haliburton is "primarily responsible for the Gulf oil crisis."

    That was a lie.

How did Haliburton "cost the American taxpayer billions"?

Or is this a lie too?

I believe you just violated board rules.

They knew the cement was inferior, hide the fact and went on and used it. They then tried to cover it up. That has cost tax payers much.

A second board violation in one post.

They have cost the tax payer billions through sole source contracts, over charging the military and who know what else.

And you have yet to answer the questions I asked. How about doing that and not continue to violate board rules.

And it simply happens those they they are supporting are, for the most part, Republicans. Show me where another company that is unethical is giving donations to Democrats and I will join your criticism of them.

You are still ignoring your own source... " most of the blame for the disaster, says the staff, still rests with BP and Transocean, the company BP hired to drill the well."

Haliburton was the only company that could do the job in many instances - so of course there were sole source contracts.

You haven't shown the over charging - are we to simply take your word for it?

"Who knows what else" - sounds like an "I don't know" to me.

No first you need to prove your allegations.

Next to the definition of "blame" is George Bush's photo and a logo for Halliburton in any self respecting bed wetter's dictionary.

That is always the excuse used ... but is it the truth? I doubt it is. Sole source is an way of saying we are writing the contract such that we can give it to the company we want regardless of who else can complete the job and can say, "Oh, they were the only company that fit the requirements.

The same is true with government jobs. I have seen job announcements that were obviously written with one person in mind ... sole source you know.

You must not have read the entire quote. Try again ... well, let me help you ... the article said that Pentagon auditors found that Halliburton

and that was only one one contract. One contract!

Now, again try answering my questions.

And that is your usual way of indicating you know you are wrong, so you will not answer.

Since you admit that you do not know - perhaps you should find out before making accusations.

    Do your homework.

All you have put out is unsourced allegations.

You need to document your accusations first.

    Wrong? About what?

That you have to make your case before demanding answers?

It is the first step to any debate.

Seems a strange reply. Are you defending defrauding the American tax payer by Halliburton and other companies?

We probably shouldn't try to act like Halliburton is a model for coroporate integrity. But we only have Reich's word that that they support all Republicans and only 1 democrat. Most companies support everyone so they can hedge their bets.

But we shouldn't be too hard on Reich and the BB democrat defender, they have the left gene. They cannot help themselves. We should rather express understanding, pat them on their head and then ignore what they say.

Labor Unions have cost the American tax payer billions and yet have never paid any taxes at all. Now we see they are primarily responsible for the bankruptcy of GM. Why is it they support Democrats? Why is it Democrats continue to support and favor labor unions that have caused the US such harm?

Just pointing out that anyone can play your stupid game. Don't like it much , do ya?

If we're going to talk about entities that cost the taxpayers money and buy politicians, let's talk about a bunch of them who own both parties. Whadda ya say?

Fair and balanced. Ya like it?

It is totally on topic and perfectly points out your hypocrisy. I guess we can blame that on a gene too.

    Ooops...

BP and its employees have given more than $3.5 million to federal candidates over the past 20 years, with the largest chunk of their money going to Obama, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

Look who took the most money from the oil company that cost the U.S. taxpayers with the oil spill !!

Dude, you opened the door to "evil by association" comparisons. If you're not willing to discuss how both parties are guilty, then all you're doing is espousing hate towards one.
