This book should be of interest to man on the board.

I've just acquired it but have not dug into it yet. Jenkins is a respected scholar, although I do think that the title and subtitle are on the sensational side.

I have been giving away books and told myself I would not buy any more, but this one from History Book Club was irresistible. Maybe I will post a summary or review eventually ... not right away. It's long, and I am into another long book at the moment.

I would really like to hear your take on the book after you have read it.

I just noticed your location at the Prague Seminary. Are you still there? My friend Steve Price, a member of Broadneck Baptist Church in Annapolis, tells me he has enlisted a group there to pray for me as I deal with lung cancer.

Don't hold your breath waiting for me to get to that giant book. As I said, I have just started another one, A History of Wales, with more than 700 pages. I have Welsh ancestry and would like to know more of that piece of my heritage.

Yes, we are at IBTS in Prague. We will e here until graduation in late May, 2011. After the graduation we will travel about Europe the month of June before returning home on June 30th.

Yes, Steve is a wonderful friend. He was our interim pastor and did a wonderful job, but has been a friend for a number of years. I believe we first met Steve in 2005. I had not thought of the connection between the prayer request and it being you. You are in and will continue to be in our prayers here. Steve updates us on you via email.

Perhaps we are distantly related. One of my line of ancestors left Wales in the 1630's and settled in what is now Connecticut. We hope to visit Wales in June. A really wonderful, brilliant woman there is a part-time student here and has invited us to visit and she will be our host.
