Does Santa play a part in your Christmas?

My parents never made a big deal out of Santa when I was a kid, and when my wife and I do have children we won't either. The closest I usually come to celebrating the ol' boy is when I drink a cold Coca-Cola with the retro Santa design.

My wife is big into snowmen though, but it has to be a certain kind. Its kind of a given that if someone doesn't know what to get her for Christmas they buy her something snowman related. Needless to say after several years of marriage she has accumulated quite a collection.

I do have a co-worker with two daughters, one is a Sophmore in H.S., the other is in 7th or 8th grade. He says his wife still insists every year that the presents they open are labeled "From Santa".

    No it doesn't.

Personally, I prefer not to make a big deal about Christmas anyway.

If others want to observe Christmas, that's OK with me too. To each his own.

I do remember years ago reading an article telling me that all one had to do was jumble the letters in "Santa" and you'll come up with "Satan"!!

Now that's a little over the top for me!

LOL, my kids have never really "believed" in Santa, but he still brings their gifts after they go to bed on Christmas eve! At 12, 15, 15, and 18, THEY won't let us change the tradition that started because I didn't want to deal with little fingers playing with the presents, when they were very little.

And that is about it. The rest of Christmas centers around celebrating Christ's birth and all the things that go with that.

What about Father Christmas? He's the bloke that put charcoal in our stockings.

    Cheers,

    Jim

He hasn't, so far. Now into middle age, I'm beginning to wonder if he's even there to do it.

I put down "we keep it low key" or however it's stated. I've never promoted Santa but they've obviously heard about him because they are children and alive. LOL But we've taught the kids about the history and belief about Santa and just tell them to be gracious to people who ask about him. They've been fine with that.

Yes! We love Santa Claus at our house.

But before you all gather round to stone me for heresy, our "Santa" isn't the Thomas Nast, Coca Cola, Miracle on 34th St. Santa, but is much more a memorial of the real Saint Nick who gave gifts to the poor to illustrate God's gift of Christ to the world, and is very Gospel based.

My kids are grown so I can't vote; none of it applies to me. However, the subject of this mythical creature never came up with my girls. I never told them he was not real, but I never lied to them and encouraged any belief in him. They knew that any Christmas presents came from me.

Satan and Santa are close words. It is Satan in disguise, and he is really "Satan Claws" and he changed his name around to deceive us. Plus it adds up to 666 if you use a special formula. Gail Riplinger told me so. Plus he uses an NIV.

If Santa is Satan because you can easily rearrange the letters, what does that make God?

See? In WeihnAchTSmAnN, the word is HIDDEN. You have all the letters of Satan!!!!

That leaves "Weihnchmn" and that right there sounds devilish! Add up all the remaining letters, and it's the number 9! Stand on your head? It's a 6!!!!!
