If people put their trust in God, they wouldn't worry. That includes scientists, and wobbly Christians. The real sad news in Christians join the secularists in causes like this.

I find it ironic that the person who keeps putting up articles about global warming is someone who is constantly jetting back and forth between continents.

It reminds me of Al Gore.

    :thumbsup::applause:

Remember what C.T.Boy said, people HAVE to travel. They become less prejudiced that way.

Off/topic, but part of me wonders if C.T.Boy feels he gives up a little freedom with the new airport screening.

I am a scuba diver. Although I do agree that warmer than usual weather has an effect on the coral. There are other explanations for the die off. One is that we had over 20 hurricanes that summer and fall. In 6 weeks we had 4 major storms that came and stayed. Cozumel's coral was killed by a hurricane that stayed off the coast of Mexico for 7 days.

Thank you. It is a good feeling to trust God over atheists at the "Scientific American".

Isaiah 24:4-6 - The earth dries up and withers, the world languishes and withers, the exalted of the earth languish. The earth is defiled by its people; they have disobeyed the laws, violated the statutes and broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore a curse consumes the earth; its people must bear their guilt. Therefore earth's inhabitants are burned up, and very few are left. (NIV)

Jeremiah 2:7 - I brought you into a fertile land to eat its fruit and rich produce. But you came and defiled my land and made my inheritance detestable. (NIV)

    Read and tremble.

Then perhaps you should reduce your carbon foot print by cutting back on the jetting back and forth between continents.

Romans 1:18-25 - NKJV For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen

Actually, I don't see the two things as being mutually exclusive. I think we can trust God and still take care of our environment at the same time.

It's like saying that if someone really trusts God in a situation, they relinquish any responsibility.

Good post. Thank you. The two certainly are not mutually exclusive.

What in your opinion are things that we can do to take care of the environment?

Things like not flying on jets across the oceans several times a year?

Right! People who complain about Obama and climate change advocates and taxes and Islam don't trust God. <G>

We can do somjething about those. We cannot control the climate.

And when you join hands with the atheists in any cause, you are working against God. You are either for him, or against him. The two ARE mutually exclusive.

Does putting your trust in God mean more than just sitting and waiting for God to act?

Yes - for instance if one is truly concerned about global warming one could cease flying back and forth across the ocean in a jet.

If God calls you to Europe would you go by ship or swim or would you say, "Sorry God, I won't go!"

Also how do you know that I am not using less carbon by living here and never driving a car than if I stayed at home in the States where, because the way our transportation system is set up, I have to drive a car?

It is estimated that the average American uses about 20 tons of carbon a year.
It is estimated that a transatlantic flight adds 3 to 4 tons per person.

OK, let's say I used 4 tons flying to Europe. However I do not drive a car during the 11 months I am here. So it shows I actually save about 14 tons a year. so following God's lead and not driving while I am here I am helping the environment more than if I stay home where I have to use an automobile. I was happy to find this out.

Divide 20 by 12 and then multiply that number by 11 ... the time I will be out of the country and not driving. Subtract the 4 tons the aircraft used and we get 13.666666666................ saved.

And how do you know that a general warming of the earth is not God's will?

But you don't just stay there do you?

Is it also God's call for you to fly back and forth?

And didn't you recently post something about your future travel plans around Europe?
