I found the following letter to the editor in the Nov 9,2010 edition of the Syracuse Post Standard.

    To the Editor:

    Regarding this years election:
Other countries think Americans are very gullible. It has just been proven. Enough said?

    Joan Russell
    Liverpool

Note: this was the letter in its entirety

    Your thoughts?

added after two new posts - Liverpool is a suburb of Syracuse, NY

I'm assuming the writer is unhappy that the Obama agenda was overwhelmingly rejected, which would prove there are still some idiots that haven't caught on yet. Especially across the pond. Nanny states love him.

Maybe the letter was originally written 2 years ago when Obama/Biden got elected and it had been lost in the mail due to its long trip across the pond and the editor is just now getting it?

We were gullible in that we thought Harry, Nancy and Barney would disappear from the scene.

From a philosophical veiwpoint no argument has been made, the claim is purely rhetorical and has no logical value.

Anyone who thought/thinks that an election would/will change anything of importance is full of gull.

Anyone who thinks that meaningful change will happen in this nation simply by voting some politicians in and out of office is the definition of gullible.

    The whole system is broken.
