We all best hope that no one with a name similar to our own is not on the list.

    Quite honestly...

I simply never believe anything the TSA says anymore. The people at the top are liars, and are not to be trusted.

Hopefully, they'll stumble into doing some good things to keep us safe, while avoiding trampling on our freedoms. If they do, it won't be due to imbeciles like Pistole.

What good is a terrorism watch list if no one is checked against the list?

It surprises me that this was not standard procedure all along.

Why have people gotten upset about terrorists getting on the plane while on the watch list if there was no expectation that passengers would be compared against the list?

I agree...what an easy thing to check, so why not check it? With computers and databases, all they have to do is run a simple program to check the names on passenger lists against the terrorism watch list. If the name matches, flag that individual to have more attention paid to them while they check in. It's a no brainer.

    Careful!!!

You're asking the near-impossible - a government program to be "common sensed" based!
