Just a hint - the pictures are going to be taken off the thread because we need to keep the pictures small for those people who have dial-up or whatever. :)

But I have one pet that I actually own. That is our dwarf bunny, Gohan. He came with his name (it's a character on an anime cartoon called Dragon Ball-Z) and he was a pet sitting that stayed. We've had him for 6 years and he's a dog in a bunny's body. :) This is him after being set loose in our den and he hopped up on my daughter's lap (and laptop) to be petted:

Additionally, the other animals in my life are two horses. I have a dear friend who asked me to start riding her one horse 25 years ago and when her daughter bought a horse and then had a bad injury in a riding accident, I started riding the younger horse. She still has Starr, the old man (he's 32 this year) and the younger horse, Whirl, is the one that I ride at least 2 days a week. Additionally, I help to take care of them for her so I'll do stalls, groom, feed, etc. so she doesn't have to do it all.

Starr (my 18 year old daughter is riding him in this pic):

    Me riding Whirl:

Me standing next to Whirl - I'm 5'3" - you can see how big he is....

WELL...it won't let me edit my post. I wanted to replace the photos with links to the photos...

That's weird that this forum doesn't allow pics. I'm member to dozens of forums and all of 'em allow pics. I wonder if its a problem with vbulletin or what.

No, it's not vBulletin because on other boards, we can post pictures just fine. I seem to remember hearing that it was due to people on slower connections or something like that but the rule states "12. Limit image size. Any image used in a post may not exceed the size of the BB logo at the top of the homepage. "

I'd go ahead and copy your post and just take out the "img" codes so that they become links. :)

Three dogs, one cat and two mice.........The mice are in my workshop and one climbed out onto my shoulder as I sat on my bench. It was quite amusing...we are still trying to get a photo...........

    Cheers,

I would love to have an awesome fish tank again. The last one had an eel, snails, and a couple frogs. The one before that had yellow tangs and I forget what the other ones were called.

Right now the only pet we have is an adult rescue dog. We believe she is half bassenji based on her hilarious cat-like behavior, quietness, coloring, and tail, and the rest of her features make us think the other half is chihuahua.

This was taken with a cell phone minutes after we got her. She was quite ill. She's now a healthy, bright-eyed girl and the insane little mutt clears 4 feet high when she jumps, taller if you count her paws because she's jumped up and got my face before when I (and I've learned not to do this) stuck a treat on my shoulder. Pretty good for a twelve pound critter!

We have three absolutely worthless cats. Two are over 13 years old and one is about 3. All are female (and are unable to have kittens! Don't want any more worthless animals in the house!).

Pareeeee- Puppies are a hoot! Good picture.

Gina B- Glad your pup is better. I grew up with a rescued beagle mix and she really was a good dog (she lived to the ripe age of sixteen).

Jim1999- I get mice in my shop too, but they're not allowed!

This one "followed" one of my son's home when it was just a little snakey. (only 30" inches lol)

You ain't nothing at my house but well fed! It grew. As it did, the boys got skeered of him. (one son claims "its not my snake" lol) Unfortunately, I'm not skeered of much and spent a good deal of my childhood collecting 1/2 gallon milk cartons full of garter snakes, so I inherited him.

Love the snake MK! They're such beautiful creatures and fun to torment boys with. :saint: Usually it's the bigger the better, but I as a kid I just adored those little red belly racers and would get so excited when I turned one over and knew for sure I'd got one. Whoo-hoo!

I like this zoo fellow's face cuz it looks like it is confused about where its tongue might be! [IMG]
