Kohl's in several stores around the country has the pandigital ereader - normally 199 on clearnace for 59.99. Just in case anyone has been wanting one, works with Barnes and Noble or you can modify it and run android with Nook and Kindle readers as well as others.

if you want to look one over.

Bummer! Ours came in a year or two ago, but Christmas time was first time I'd been in it.

I thought about going but hubby asked if I really wanted a substitute for what I want to get - the Nook. "Probably not". Have you checked it out? Is it a good one?

That would have been awesome but our Kohl's sold out of them even before Christmas!

I have one and love it but I don't use it with the original software. The company released a version of software that is android 2.1 and I use ereader programs on it. I have kindle, Nook and couple of other readers.

there are modified softwares that allow other possibilities. You have to like to tinker a little to use it but I like to tinker :)

Out of the box it seems to work pretty well as a reader and you can do a few other things as well. Youtube has some reviews if you are interested.

One draw back is short battery life, it is a 6-9 hour depending on the software you use. Kindle and Nook go days not hours :)

Well, the daughter got her Nook Color for Christmas. Still playing with it, but she's enjoying it. I've messed with it when she lets me; she still won't let me hack it to give it more tablet functionality. Maybe one day.

Not a bad little gizmo; seems to load web pages pretty slow, but I don't have other readers to compare that load time against.

    No complaints so far.
