When do you think that Obama will announce he is running for re-election?

Is he waiting for any particular event - for example, the un-employment rate to go below a certain number or some other measure?

    You Are Kidding?

    Salty,

He's never stopped the campaign process. He is running again, because he loves to campaign.

He has never stopped running for president to actually run the country...

I do not doubt that the "Official" announcement will be held off as long as possible in the hgope he can take credit ofr any recovery that comes along.

Even though the elections and the "Right" were holding him at "knife-point" and he didn't bring a big enough "gun"! :D

A first-term president, or anyone else known to be lustful of the next term, usually does not announce that in any 'official' way until late in the year before election. What you are asking about will probably take place in Nov. or Dec., 2011.

It sounds like he is still running for the last election.

He's been "announcing " it ever since 2008.

He just didn't plan on losing control of Congress because of his ideological stupidity.

I have heard people suggest that George H.W. Bush didn't "try that hard" to win a second term. I was pretty young at the time so I don't really remember how much truth that carries.
