Since I spell quite well, I rarely need spell check. Occasionally I use a word which I'm not sure how it's spelled.

The spell check needs checking because it is usually American and corrects everything incorrectly.

    Cheers,

    There's a spell check?
Sometimes I will type the message in Word to use that spell check. Then I copy and paste. Other times I just give it my best guess and keep going.

I usually forget that there is a spell check facility on the BB. Mind you, if I used it, it would probably try to correct "colour", "cheque", "programme", "Saviour", and a host of other British English words.

People struggle with the words "then" and "than" and their proper useage.

I was going to spellcheck, than I realized I'd rather not do that, as I would rather leave misspelled words intact then use a program to correct them. Get it? Got it? GOOD!!!!!

I think one also has to DL something to "utlize" it (spellcheck). LOL!

IMHO this is a redundant term! English is of the British.

Those of us on this side of the Pond speak "American" (not sure of Canada, though !)

I think spell check needs javascript running to work. I only surf with Firefox and use an extension called "NoScript" which can be set to block many things including and beyond Javascript (except for websites marked as "whitelisted".)

So I checked "other" in the poll as I don't even see a spellcheck option.

There is a spell check on the posting site, in the upper right hand corner, next to two other options.

My typing skills are to be called into question. I will often hit "S" instead of "L" (same finger on the opposite hand). I was once typing the church doctrine and I needed the word "all". The spell check didn't catch it because it is a word. We caught it in a deacons meeting and they got a good chance to rib me about my language.

Spell check in this forum requires a download, and we aren't allowed to download anything at work, so I have never used it.

Firefox has a built-in spell checker but it does not work in Quick Reply. I usually hit Go Advanced and check myself, though.
