A public thread asking for proof of me attacking a member's children - POST FOUND

I'm going to not let this stay buried in a thread that others may not see. I've been accused of attacking JohnDeereFan's children at some point in the past and he continues to bring it up when he can no longer have a valid argument with me. Additionally, in the thread on Worship Flags, John has specifically said that I am not saved.

So, I am bringing this to the "church" - or the public. I am publicly asking John to put a link to the post where I attacked his children. Here is the post where he accuses me of such: http://www.baptistboard.com/showpost.php?p=1637881&postcount=49

Sorry to read that anyone would attack you and challenge your salvation.

I know that I expressed my dislike for dancing in the sanctuary, but I never questioned your redemption.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Thank you Jim. I know you also don't like the projection stuff that we do but to me, that's choices - not demands. I'll never demand that you use dance and projection in your church as long as you don't forbid us from doing so. :D I do find you a very wonderful gentleman and I count you as a friend on here on BB.

God gave us the means to worship Him in multiple creative ways. If a man like David, "a man after God's own heart" could dance before the Lord, then dancing before the Lord is okay by me.

Same with music... Psalm 150 reads like a rock band.

Interestingly, the picture of worship that we cannot find in the Bible is a silenced people sitting on wooden pews, listening to a boring preacher go on and on with personal illustration for too many hours three times a week. Every other expression of worship, from singing, dance, song-writing of various styles and natures, flags, standing, shouting, praising, clapping, etc., are all in the Word in some place or another.

I'm now making a post of the supposed "attack".

OK - So I did a little searching on this site and it's taken me less than 10 minutes to find all of the information. Let's go through the posts and see where I "attacked" JohnDeereFan's children:

Here is the original thread: http://www.baptistboard.com/showthread.php?t=65018&highlight=television
I can't even see where I remotely attacked his children but apparently he feels I did somewhere because he says (bolding is mine):

I then responded to that comment and asked where I attacked his children. His response (again, bolding mine) and the reason I went and found the TV thread:

    My response to that post:

So there we go. I posted the actual posts so that you can click on the little mark next to the "Originally posted by....." and find the actual posts and threads yourself. I have nothing to hide. I am being accused of something I never did and apparently JohnDeereFan has some sort of obsession with me because of some made-up offense. I don't understand it but I want to be transparent here.

I have not seen those attacks by you. However, I did see attacks against you, your pastor and even your salvation. (Note: I thought that last one was against guidelines.)

Moreso than starting a "call out" thread for no other reason than goading a person into a fight and incite animosity against him?

Aren't there also rules against such behavior? Certainly, there is a rule against trolling.

Again - I thought I was on ignore.

This is not to incite a fight. It is to clear up a false witness against myself and I am sure that the moderators will not close this thread down. Trolling is not at all what this is. I've been accused, I've asked for proof in threads and it's not happened so now it's time to bring it out in the open. I ask for proof of an accusation and I have laid out all the proof - that proves that there was no attack on your children at all. So maybe this can lay it to rest.

Ann, from the "No Women Doctors!" thread:
Here is his "Why We Chucked Our TV" thread.
You made four posts and did not mention his children at all.

Yep. I posted all the pertinent info above. Can you show me where I attacked John's children?

    Ann,

Take the high road. You're a good sister in Christ. This fellow did the same things to me, and made blatant outright lies about me, said I said things about men in his church, and other lies and twisting of my words. This is status quo for him. Plainly, he lies. In addition to this, name calling. Some were aware of the very serious nature of names he called me on here, then he edited out what he said before mods saw it. That's who he is and what he does.

Play him off. Life is more peaceful this way. You just walk with God. I believe your testimony and what you say here.

    And remember 1 Peter 2:20.

If he repents and admits to his lies, he has others to admit to also and isn't truly walking with God until he does so.

    - Blessings to you and your family

See, I have played him off but he continues these blatant attacks and I'd just like to see his proof. If I did say something wrong, I will apologize - no question at all. However, I do not recall EVER attacking anyone's children in all of the 11+ years I've been on the internet or in real life. I cherish children and would never attack them. So I do not want it to stand on the internet that I ever attacked anyone's children. Now that I have all the proof in one thread, I feel better and feel that I DIDN'T do anything wrong.

Thanks for your support. I appreciate all of you who have stood up for me. :)

Rock band is quite a stretch. It's hard to say about early times, but vernacular music in worship services didn't appear (or resurface) until the 1800s for the most part.

And I'm not going to argue that any of those things are wrong - I wouldn't want to make that pronoucement - but some of them were not a part of corporate worship, neither were they quite the way we think of them. Hand-raising, for instance, was a posture of supplication, not a worshipful act in general.

Again, not saying that it's wrong, but we need to keep it in perspective and examine everything we do theologically.

Sorry - I forgot what thread I was on when I wrote this. ButI have to say that the actions of these other folks, such as tractor guy, are a bit disturbing.

And I agree that we do this kind of discussion with grace and mercy with each other. As I said, we'll never fully agree on everything - can you imagine Baptist Board like that? But let's not get dirty like the world does. :)

    Ann,

You didn't mention it in the OP, so I'll ask. Have there been any private messages sent between you and JohnDeereFan discussing this issue? I hope there have been, because those should have happened before this thread saw the light of day.

If there have been private conversations about this, I'm wondering why this issue hasn't been resolved by now. The television thread happened last March, meaning that JohnDeereFan has apparently been stewing about the alleged insults for months.

    JohnDeereFan,

If there have been private messages about this and it hasn't been resolved by now, why?

If there haven't been any private messages about this, then all we've accomplished here is the airing of dirty laundry.

Huh? Baptist churches were singing hymns in English in the 1600s.

And your own denomination's John and Charles Wesley introduced many English hymns in the 1700s.

Vernacular music, not language, which I thought was implicit in my first post.

Watts and Luther did it before C.W.

Evidently, JohnDeereFan didn't like my post.

Here's a message I just received in my Inbox from JohnDeereFan.

Dude, seriously, grow up. An ignore list? Like you've ignored Ann? Put me on your childish ignore list all you want. It truly doesn't matter to me. You just showed me everything I need to know.

Actually, it had nothing to do with you or your post. I was just explaining that I am not participating. But thank you for revealing your true self.

And, by the way, I wonder if the same person who threatened to report me for merely mentioning that I recieved a PM will report you for posting this PM. Somehow, I seriously doubt it, because there is a huge double standard here.

JohnDeereFan, your ignore list appears to be broken. Please recheck and add me to it immediately.

Let's recap what I said. I asked Ann whether there had been private messages. I asked you why this hasn't been resolved if there were private messages. It's not my fault that you can't answer a question.

It's also not my fault that you call Ann names and want to continue this instead of working to resolve the issue. Don't pretend that this issue is some sort of failing on my part.
