    Salty

I don't know why the stupid software changed my thread title from "Salty" to "Salt City cabby." Unless it was one of the Admins thinking he/she was being funny.

Rules say that screen names or proper names of members are not permitted in thread titles

I apologize for not making this clear in my edit

    Have a good day!!!

Yeah, my bad. I forgot the BB was so legalistic and rule bound that simple discussion is often rendered impossible.

Did you clean out your Private Message box? :)

Never mind. As long as you are here I will post it here.

You didn't start the thread. Alive in Christ asked the question and glfredrick launched the attack against IFBs.
I don't have "standards." I have ONE standard, the word of God. If the bible says "don't" we don't. If the bible says "do" we do. If the bible is silent on the issue so are we.
    What differences are those?
You seem to have some sort of inferiority complex regarding the SBC. :D If you will go back to what I said you will notice the words "Pope" "Cardinal" "Archbishop" etc. Last time I checked the SBC had none of the above. The reference was obviously (to anyone lacking guilt feelings about his church :D) a reference to the Roman Catholic Church.
We are not arguing about the incarnation. glfredrick attacked all things IFB. The "F" in IFB stands for "Fundamental" so I listed to fundamentals to see which he disagreed with. Lo and behold, he doesn't disagree with any of them, but he still disparages IFBs!
Couldn't care less. I had one for several years.
Every other Sunday we have a fellowship day. We all stay after the morning service for a pot luck and game time. My wife and I play Pinochle with another couple in the church for hours.
Okay with me. I am an old man and prefer other forms of music but most of our young people listen to Stryper and other Christian groups.
    See above.
My wife and I don't dance much any more due to my disability but we used to love to dance in a formal ball room setting.
I keep mine in a buzz cut but one of the young men in our youth group has hair down to the middle of his back. Okay by me.
    Okay by me.
My wife and I go to the movies almost every Saturday for our "date."
My wife used to ride on the back of my motorcycle with me. She wore very becoming Jeans.
Just don't spill it on the new carpet.
Our church's youth leaders are a white man married to a black woman. Most effective youth ministers I have ever had.
    BJU fantasy.
As long as they are sufficiently modest.
I have a beer or a glass of wine now and then.

Anything else you want to get off your chest? :)
