    From another thread

I would appreciate Paul telling us which economic system he would prefer.

Indeed, the system may need some fine tuning, but the very basis of capitalism is that it rewards hard work.

How about a capitalistic system that doesn't sell out the workers to China and other countries that treat their people like crap!

You can always leave if you don't like it. :wavey:

If money is a problem, I'll contribute. One less whiner would be a welcome relief.

I agree that this in an area that needs fixing. The financial support of oppressive regimes for cheap labour needs attention.

That doesn't mean that capitalism needs replaced.

Could we not discuss the issue without making such unnecessary personal comments?

Whiners bore me and it was a genuine heartfelt offer.

What RS and our young wannabe legal eagle fail to regognize is that in any other system, RS would be working for less than half what he makes and there would be fewer attorneys simply because they wouldn't have the opportunity to earn anywhere near what they will make. If it wasn't for attorneys, we wouldn't need 'em anyhow.

In any case, I doubt you'll get any real ideas, just more whining.

In any other system the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. In the capitalist system, the rich get richer and so do the poor. It's hard to have a worker's revolt when they are generally better off every year. That's why this system is still in place and will remain so in my lifetime.

But that will never stop the whiners. They always want more of what someone else has earned given to them.

"Outsourcing" is simply capitalism operating at it's finest.

When labor, anywhere, prices itself out of the market, companies will go to where the labor cost is low enough to keep them competitive. Sometimes that's overseas and somtimes it's just another part of the country.

Automotive manufacturing is a good example. The UAW priced itself out of the market and the new manufacturers like Toyata and Honda moved south to get competitive labor rates. As long as GM is owned by the government and the UAW , they will remain at a disadvantage. Since the government intervened and corrupted the process, it's only a matter of time before GM is in financial difficulty again. The cost of labor is still too high.

Only a complete moron would expect American workers to work for what they pay workers in China. This just shows your ignorance.

    OK Now I'm a moron.

At least you made it public.

You like your implied threats to be by PM, such as this one I just received from you:

Public posting of a PM deleted and infraction points added

So I ask publicly... is that a threat?

I don't expect you to have the guts to answer it truthfully in public. It goes along with your whining.

I really thought we could have a good discussion on this, but it has been quickly derailed into a petty personal squabble.

Come on guys -how does this sound?

    'You are a whiner!'

'Oh yeah, you are a moron!'
