Our pastors usually go away for a short retreat each year and the men and ladies each have a retreat as well. Of course there are numerous youth retreats as well. :)

We haven't. We're not against retreats, we just haven't.

We've done a couple of conferences but no retreats.

we have couples retreats....and we have men's camping trips. We have youth camp and youth conferences, and we have ladies get-togethers.

We have all kinds of stuff going on, and it's all good!!

I voted "other". I have attended retreats approximately 2nd yearly due to the great distance needed to be taken, but retreats are for the spiritual development of the soul.

I adore them, they run for 5 days with a pretty full on day....the week is spent in silence which sounds hard (it is at the beginning) but shattering when the retreat finishes. They are amended St. Ignatian retreats!!

Our members do this all the time......when they get two pieces of cake....

We do this when the wives tell'em to "take a hike!!"

This takes place whenever the men gather together, and the wives tell'em to quit acting like little children!!!

Just kidding with you, Sister Debbie. I pray that you didn't find this to be rude, or offensive in any way.

Our church is small in number, about 18 members, so we don't do the retreat thing. It's always good to get away from it all, so even one night out is a good thing.

    i am I AM's!!

No would be good enough, but "what is a retreat" is more fitting for this congregation.

We do have men's and ladies conferences, which are like revivals.
