    Rock bottom.

    I saw this on our 11 0'clock news tonight.

    A woman came into a convenience store. She asked for a carton of cigarettes. As the clerk reached down into the bin to get them, the woman ran out of the store with a bowl filled with donations..mostly coins..that was going to go disaster relief somewhere...probably Japan. The store manager said it probably had about $300 in it.

    Wow...

    While that is terrible, let's use the story to remind us that we are also sinners and the lowest of the low. And yet after all that, Christ loved us enough to die for us.

    Psalm 37.
    I was young, now I've grown old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread. They are always generous and lend freely; their children will be blessed.

    The LORD loves the upright and will not forsake his faithful ones. They will be protected forever, but the offspring of the wicked will be cut off.

    I have seen much more things lower than this, having worked in the hospital field for over ten years now. A while back, a woman came in the night before she was to have a C-section done on her full-term baby. As always, we do a urine triage(drug screen), and it was positive for THC(marijuana). Shame! We also have a psychiatric floor, and we do urine triages on all of those patients, too. On average, I would say that the third floor "psych" patients triages are '"cleaner" than the OB women who come in....now that's pitiful!!

    Having been born in 1945 I grew up with the likes of, "Leave it to Beaver", "Father Knows Best", TV shows where the Good Guys always wore the White Hat, etc. A time when all of society required temperance. From your school, to the neighbors, to your home and all points in between kids were to be mindful of their manners.

    I read the other day from the Christian Law Center the following;

    Today's college freshmen were born in 1992, the first year of the Clinton Administration and the decade of the Internet revolution. They have never known life without computers. A decent description of these folks are as follows;

    1, Few know how to write in "Cursive".
    2, Email is just too slow; they prefer texting.
    3, One quarter of them have immigrant parents.
    4, They have never worried about a Russian missile strike on America.
    5, Barney is a dinosaur, not a deputy sheriff.
    6, Three Quarters of them will never wear a military uniform.

    ...and the list could go on and on. To see the results of unlimited liberalism all any of us have to do is just look around. To the youth of today, the mayhem is considered normal and reasonable and that's such a shame.

    A few years ago I witnessed a young man so high on drugs that he had trouble standing and in the process, he fell backwards..., in slow motion. I couldn't believe it. He literally fell backwards onto the ground in slow motion. That was the oddest thing I think I've ever seen.

    Even so, come Lord Jesus.
