Everyone on CNN and the Weather Channel are talking like that these are EXTRORDINARILLY destructive and fierce tornados. They are saying things like, "had bad ones before, but NEVER...LIKE...THIS."

    Katrina
    The oil spill
    These tornados

Just wonder sometimes if God Almighty is eather judging us for our hedomism, violence, sodomites accepted, baby killing, etc, with our soon destruction the result...

Or...saying to us " this is your last chance, get your act together, or else I WILL do it."

    He has done it before.

(There are times when I am GLAD that I am on the back side of 40.)

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Rev. 3:19

It is mother nature getting back as humans. Scientists have said for years that with global warming storms, tornadoes and hurricanes will become stronger. Well ............ guess we are seeing it for real and not just in computer models now.

Think about all the destruction recently---and in recent years

Then subtract the oil spill----we brought that on ourselves

    Katrina

    Japan Earthquake

    then these tornadoes

    What gives??

Global warming is man's guess----guessing without God

And religious man says-----"Look at all this destruction---I'm tellin' ya---God is out to get somebody---He's mad---He's judging---this Tornado is "God's terrible swift sword!!"

    BUT

God says the things happening and that will happen are all parts of a "groaning"----a collapsed creation brought on by Adam's sin----creation thrown into chaos

Romans 8:22-23 teaches, "For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption to wit, the redemption of our body."(bolden emphasis is mine)

Earthquakes---tornadoes----hurricanes---volcanoes----tidal waves---are all friendly reminders that this world as we know it is finite---and the clock is running toward a new world---God will take this corrupted world and change it----resurrect it----make the old new----the finite will be changed into the infinite!!!

Yes---we will continue to have tornadoes

Yes---we will continue to have earthquakes

Yes---we will continue to have hurricanes

Yes---we will continue to have tidal waves

UNTIL TIME'S PENDELUM SWINGS FOR THE LAST TIME----AND TIME IS SWALLOWED UP BY ETERNITY AND ALL THINGS ARE MADE NEW!!

But hey---this is just my take on the matter!!! Al Gore's group will blame global warming-----the religious crowd will blame a mad God----but I say these and the next calamity to come will point to the truth of Scripture found in Romans 8:22 & 23

    Blackbird

So---------this kinda sorta takes the guessing out of the equation doesn't it????

Oh, stowe the idea. The atmosphere where warm Gulf air meets cool arctic air [the South and Great Plain] does the twist every now and then.

All I am hearing about the tornadoes is that it is the worst outbreak in 40 years.

    Not the worst ever.

    Not something new.

Just part of the cycle of weather, hitting an ever increasing population.

If you buy the idea that this is God's judgement, and if it is true that the South is any more "Christian" than the North, then 1 Peter 4:17 and 2 Chron 7:14 would seem to indicate that God holds His people accountable first.

I lived in Pleasant Grove when I was a teenager, from roughly 1980-1988. It was a great little town and I loved it. Beautiful parks, wonderful neighbors, great churches, etc. Bethel Baptist Church was where I came to know the Lord.

Pleasant Grove was almost completely wiped out. I've never seen anything like it.

Certainly, it's the worst one since the one that destroyed Oak Grove in 1997. We lost several family members in that one.

    My condolences re Pleasant Grove.

But the outbreak overall is not the worst one ever.

It is a horrible one. It is a big one.

Just saying big ones have happened before. Maybe not at Pleasant Grove, but elsewhere.

Global warming? Here is biblical Global Warming! 2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.

Amen Blackbird!!! It's the same problem with people I know who blame God for the tragic loss of a loved one.....when we know that SIN brought pain, suffering, and death into the world.
