Huffington post reports large profits for Bush since leaving office

He has made about 140 speeches since he as left office. Note: his speeches are closed to the media.

Thats just over one speech per week.

You think that for comparrision they would give info on - say Bill Clinton.
So I did - lets see - about 5-6 speeches per week since he has left office.

But a good reporter would have made at least a one-sentence to the comparison.

but then again it wont make a difference in a few hours....

Good for him. I believe former President Clinton was offered the chancellorship of Oxford after he left office.

Being President means you have some amazing options to encourage and influence people after your term. That is a great thing. :)

    Pet peeve!

There was no "Bush, Sr." that was President of the U.S. - The ex-President's name is "George Herbert Walker Bush."

There was no "Bush, Jr." that was President of the U.S. - The ex-President's name is "George Walker Bush."

Liberals MO is to demonize profit. They inherently believe that it is evil to have more than "your share." The rich liberals pacify themselves by giving to cap and trade type "leveling" schemes to 'offset their carbon footprint" and "spread the wealth," but most just live in hypocrisy as the criticize the capitalistic system that has made them successful.

They believe that the only way to "even the playing field" is by bringing the top down to a medium "fair" level and use their "extras" (to be determined by the Gov) to bring the poor up to that same level.

They don't understand that a society can't function when you take from the rich and give to the poor. You can never really build anyone up by tearing someone else down. That is as true of character as it is of money. You don't make yourself a better person by making other people appear worse. Its also true of grades. You don't make your 2.5 GPA better by making the guy with a 4.0 less. It doesn't work!!!

It has been tried countless times throughout history and it has NEVER worked. When will they learn?!?
