Heard that a person named Bullinger held to it...

What are it major tenants, and is it considered to be orthodox?

Any well known baptist pastors/Teachers/Churches hold to it now?

Cultic view. Add extra dispensations AFTER Acts 9 and the time of the early church (like only writings of Paul are for today; or worse, only the late writings like after Acts 28 prison epistles are for today)

Why would they do this? Some doctrines/teachings are not emphasized in the later writing which they claim for today.

No hell. No water baptism. Not much demand on individual Christians.

"Grace Church" movement. "Oharism" (Ohare was a Chicago pastor and follower of Bullinger). Many "Berean" church too.

Know some "Baptists" that go far beyond the 7 basic dispensations, esp in Canada. But rare in US and almost cultic.

So they would say there was an extended "transistion" stage, that Church in Acts still running basically as "Jewish" group, and actual Gospel Age of Church kicked off in ministry and writings of Apostle Paul?

    Spot on.

See the dispensation of Law end at the tearing of the veil in the Temple. So NO NEED to obey anything in the Gospel previous to that since it was "Jewish".

Then dispensation of resurrected Christ (50 days). No need for us today.

Then dispensation of Jewish church (Acts 2-8) No need for us today.

Then dispensation of Gentile church (Acts 9-28) No need for us today.

THEN TODAY = dispensation of Grace (Paul) Prison Epistles, Pastoral Epistles, some of John's Epistles

Finally dispensation of "fulness of times"

Not to mention that many of that group hold to two different gospel messages. One from Peter and one from Paul.

There is one BB member who holds to this - trustitl (if I'm not mistaken)

They hate baptism so much that they try to relegate it as part of the "Jewish" Gospel (Gospels, early Acts) and then different "Gentile" Gospel message from Paul.

Some Baptists believe this way. Some dear friends in Canada I have. Wrong, but hey, most of my reformed baptist friends in the US think that "I" am wrong in holding to dispensations at all!!

Baptist tree has wide branches and many birds roosting . .
