Did the HCSB Mediating View On translating make For Good Study version?

    In the preface, they seemed to induicate that the translators for this new version chose to mediate between a formal and a dynamic translation...

    Did they suceed at producing a readable version, like NIV, but more accurate like NASV?

    Will their "third way" to translate become norm for future Bibles?

    The HCSB is following a translational method very much like that of the NIV,NET and Co. There's blending. The HCSB is slightly more to the left of the scale that we see so often --with interlinears on the extreme left and The Message way on the right.

    I have a copy of it...

    seems better to use for study then NIV but not NASV!
