    "Liberals in and out of the media are constantly telling us that President Barack Obama is a really smart guy. He's a "genius" in the words of his chief sycophant Chris Matthews. And yet, for such a supposedly smart guy, Obama seems to be ill-informed about many things, like the fact that we have 50 states in this country or that the word corpsman isn't pronounced like a dead body.

    The latest Obama gaffe came yesterday in a speech he gave to the Army's 10th Mountain Division in which he mistakenly identified a fallen member of that division as another soldier in a completely different Army unit who is alive....."


    ".........Besides that gaffe, it's also worth noting that apparently Obama thinks being a presidential candidate is somehow service to the country. Right before making the gaffe above, he said the following:

    Throughout my service, first as a senator and then as a presidential candidate and then as a President, I’ve always run into you guys. And for some reason it’s always in some rough spots...."

    I doubt Obama knew the individual personally, so evidently some aide messed up the with information given to him. If you want to go out on a limb, maybe the military aid purposely gave Obamas press secretary the wrong info, to make him look bad (his answer would be "But thats not what I told the press secretary")


    No argument here - some people still think Palin said she could see Russia from her back yard.

    I agree Salty. Think about how many handlers and speech-writers Presidents have. Researchers galore. Advance people. Now, think about how many words per day the President utters. Sooner or later he's gonna fumble.

    Problem is, Republicans pounce when someone named Obama or Clinton does it. Dems do it when it's a Bush or a Palin.

    Why can't both use common sense and move on?

    The man that speaks the words is ultimately responsible for what he says.

    Obama and his staff are clueless incompetents.

    Considering we are involved in multiple wars, this has to be right. Rank and file military people will think they just don't care enough to get it right.

    I was even willing to give Obama a pass on the 57 States (technically there are only 46 States - Mass, Pa, Ky, and VA are Commonwealths - Vermont and Delaware also claim some status as one as well)
    It is easy to make a mistake - but I will agree that was too obvious.
    Can you think of any other blunder he has made.
    If that was it - than its only strike one ( you get 3 strikes per year)

    He's had some really stupid gaffs when he doesn't have one.
