    Wanted to see if I could get some conservative feedback on the leading lady for the GOP

    Michelle Bachman

    Any of you conservatives care to shed light on her possibilities??

    Fiesty! Not awed by Obama at all.

    A true conservative, but needs to have her facts straight before she opens her mouth. Has had a couple of major gaffs and the media absolutely will not give her a break. They're after her, just like they were Palin, and still are.

    Her migraines are going to be a problem.

    A very dark horse. I think she'll fade as the race heats up.

    I think you are right; Bachmann will probably fade. Fortunately, she is smarter than Palin. Still, she needs to have her facts right before she speaks.

    I tend to think that Romney might eventually be the nominee.

    I know I won't be voting for Obama, but I have a hard time getting excited about any of the current GOP candidates. Do you have a favorite?

    I don't really have a favorite. They all seem to have issues.

    Romney will have a hard time. The others are going to hang Mass. Healthcare around his neck like a lead weight. It may sink him. He is a moderate. I believe a good conservative nominee can beat Obama. Romney can't.

    My favorites among the declared would be Ms Bachman and Romney---and I heard that Louisiana's former governor Buddy Roamer is giving it a shot!!

    Romney is my choice.

    Bachmann is too associated with the Tea Party for my liking. I'd rather have Bachmann as president ANY day before having Palin, but Bachmann is still not my preference.

    Pawlenty....what exactly has he done again?


    I'd have to hear more from Rick Perry to see if he might be worth supporting.

    Governed Minnesota, the state of Hubert Humphrey, Walter Mondale and Paul Wellstone, as a fiscal and social conservative with both state houses (usually) being run by Democrats. Held the line on taxes (OK, there was a 'fee' put on cigarettes one time) for 8 years. Partially reformed health care. He's a solid, intelligent conservative, and an evangelical Christian. His flaw is that he lacks charisma.

    Yes, I think he's the wild card. He's got potential. If he starts getting traction get ready for the Dems to claim he's Bush III.
