I guess that it depends on the meaning of "bus tour"

    "Apparently President Obama only rode the buses for a couple of miles at a time, spending the rest of the time flying from community to community in Air Force One. What’s more, the buses were flown from stop to stop as well. It’s normal practice for the President’s entire motorcade to be loaded up on cargo planes and flown from destination to destination. The buses were just a new part of that motorcade.

    But why wouldn’t the presidential limousine have sufficed? Or one of the other armored vehicles that routinely travel with the President? Apparently because the President wanted the imagery of a bus. And buses are what he got."

    If that were the case, would that be misappropriations of govt funds - or worse - using govt money for politics?

    I have to admit that it gives me a chuckle to think of those naive Obama supporters believing that Obama was traveling the country on a bus to show that he is "in touch" with the people...

    While the reality of it is that he is just another "corporate jet owner". :laugh:

    Is everything about the guy all fraud?

    Is there nothing genuine with him?

    Come on! Of course there wasn't that is why they flew it from place to place to save all that gas they would have wasted on driving around the country!!!!!!!!!!! Don't you know how low the mileage is on that bus?

    And flying two heavily armored buses in a cargo plane with another jet or jets for Obama and his crew required less fuel than driving them and leaving the jets at home?

    If everyone flew, why bother with the buses at all? Why not stick with the limos and SUVs that the government was already using?
