Does anyone know if US helicopters fly across the border into Mexico?

There is an agreement to allow this on both sides. This is the problem we are losing our sovereignty.

So is Mexico losing her sovereignty as well? As the US and Mexico not long running allies? If so, don't allies regularly share airspace?

I could care less about Mexico as it is just short of a dictatorship style of government corrupt to the core even more so then our own.

So what would happen if a Mexican farmer tried to shoot down a US helicopter in Mexican air space?

I have no idea, but that is not my concern. Again mine is about this countries sovereignty, not Mexico.

How do allied aircraft sharing airspace affect the the sovereignty of either? Either side could cancel this agreement at any time.

Landing on our soil is not sharing airspace. Also if they were under military escort it would be different.

I don't think US sovereignty is in any way threatened by the Mexican Republic. What rights of sovereignty has the US abrogated to them? This is what allies with shared borders do.

Allowing another country to use our airspace and our land at their will to carry out their military operations.

What military operation was carried out here? Do you really think US (or Texan) sovereignty over Texas is under threat?

Read the article on operations, but crossing the border is an opperation. To the last question it is not that it is under threat it has already been lost.

I think the US is looking for an excuse to invade Mexico. Wouldn't be the first time. <G>

What Would We Gain By Invading Mexico?

Who would want to invade a place where a majority of it's people are breaking our laws to come over the border and live illegally in America. :tonofbricks:

That is almost like waying we are thinking of invading a land dump. What purpose would that expense of money, manpower, and preciaous American lives, gain? :tonofbricks:

(in reference to a Mexacian shooting down a US chopper) Would it be your concern if the pilot were your brother, son, or other close relative

Making a mountian out of a molehill
