    I forgot about the battle in Texas. My first thought was of the battle of Bentonville, NC that was fought March 19-21, 1865. One of my great-grandfather's fought in that battle, the Bentonville battle.

    The C.S.S. Shenandoah continued assaulting US whalers until June 28, 1865 - she was finally surrendered in London in November, the last surrender of the war.
