If you answered yes, don't feel bad. A recent report shows that "poverty" in America has reached a 50 year high!

This is one more reminder of how bad things are becoming in America. It is truly a sad reminder of how far this great nation has slid, financially! :tear:

We not only need to pray for our President, but for God to send an economic healing to this country.

    Shalom,

    Pastor Paul

They say money doesn't buy happiness, that's good, otherwise I would be suicidal!

I have managed to keep my nose above water, but I have felt the crunch the last few years. The last few years remind me of the late 70's under Carter, that was a tough time too.

Growing up, we were very poor financially, but very rich in other ways. Those were very happy times for me.

Perhaps it would be a better world if we placed less importance on money.

    Great Point...

....You hit that out-of-the-park brother! I forgot about the rough economy in Carter's days. This gives me hope. All got better after he was voted out. Could that happen again? I'm not too sure...as I don't believe anyone man (or woman) can change the direction we are headed in.

I think we are much like a fighter jet that has gone into a full stall and spin. It is going to be close, very close...

Still, you are right in your comparison of Carter to Obama. Both are similar in more ways than many want to admit! We just don't have long gas lines, because most can't afford to get in the lines in the first place.

I believe it is a spiritual issue and no amount iof economic aid will correct that. We (the church) has departed from the Lord and we need to return.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Maybe not but I have heard that you can rent it as long as your money lasts. Try living on a retirement pension and see how far it goes. That's why I'm living in a 22-year-old RV and can't afford to drive my car. It's permanently parked unless I can sell it, but then I can't start it anyway.
